*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Fit pack arrived today. Comes with a narrow face option, wide face option and 2 light blockers that fit around the lenses. I fitted the wide one and my glasses fit much much more comfortably inside, suspect I wont need the wide one when my prescription inserts arrive though.

The way that those side brackets slide on so easily, I can't see how you'll be able to get it clamped close enough to your face.

Yeah, I don't get it either. The more you tighten the clamp, the more those brackets are going to slide towards your face.

It's a poor design. They need to make something which clips over the mounts like the original strap does.

That said, I have a roll of foam adhesive tape which will hold it in place.

All I hear from people using GoQuestVR or alternatives/clones is that they fall apart very easily - the adjustment knob is always the first thing to go. The welding mask one above looks like a much better bet, it's cheaper and based in the UK too.

I'm currently working on PSVR Halo adapter at the moment, you can get broken PSVR units on eBay for £25 and they're still the most comfortable to use. Every other VR unit using the Halo design licenses it from Sony, including with the Rift S. I'll post on Thingyverse when done so people can print their own.

Was thinking of getting the Fit Pack. Does it make the headset more comfortable? Is there more padding on the covers?

The fact that their website has left some 'lorem ipsum' text on some images is lol.

Just bought Tetris Effect and annoyed you can't sync an xbox controller to it.

Using a cable, kinda works, but the d-pad is not recognised.

Oculus engineers are working on a fix, but very bad this was not picked up in testing prior to launch.

I'm contemplating sending it all back. I still don't think the technology is anywhere near ready.
Will see how it goes this weekend.
