Its a super cheap entry into VR right!

Quest 2 - £399
Cable - £25
New router - £50
Prescription lenses - £60
Games/Apps - roughly £100 (so far)
Cat 6 cabling outside house from router to office/PC. - £50
Fit pack - £30

£714 ish so far :p (Arguably some wont need all that......)

Not including I had the pro mount/battery/bag on order for 90 quid.

At the other end of the scale, I've spent about £25 so far :p

Quest 2 - £298, but on PP Credit for two years (may as well, given it's 0%); 2x payments of £12.42. The only experiences I've tried are the free ones (native & sidequest), plus stuff I already owned on PC (e.g. No Man's Sky).

I already had a 3m USB-C cable, so I've used that for PCVR.

It's not perfect but the standard quest mount is ok.

You don't need a 256gb quest imo my 64gb was £276 from Argos last week.
The current humble bundle for £13 and all the freebies is more than enough to get you going.

I can't help you on your medical disabilities or your poor hone networking ... I use contact lenses in mine and already have good network (which you don't need if you use a decent usb cable)

I realise you were (or hope you were ,) just joking but the quest really IS a cheap but still very good entry into VR

You forgot to add the cost of a half-decent PC to use any of those games you just bought from Humble :p

My two main VR platforms:

Quest 2 with Elite Battery Strap + case = £518.
PC with 3900x and 1080ti + Valve Index = £3000 approx, AND I'm looking to spend another £700 on a new graphics card.

Quest 2 is amazing value by comparison! (Though of course I forgot to add the cost of selling my soul to Facebook )

Any tips on getting my quest 2 controllers working in steam VR? For eg, creed, I can't walk or anything because it doesn't recognise button presses on quest 2

Thinking of getting one of these as a Christmas present. Only just started looking into VR but but seems this one is the way to go.

I'm not a Facebook user at all. The Mrs has an account so was wondering how much Facebook is integrated into it? Do you have to log in every time using it? Does it show up messages etc?

Do you have steam VR installed? They should just work. :/

That said I have got creed but not played it yet.

I've tried i expect you to die and it uses what i presume are index controllers. Had to find what i guess is a bug to use telekinesis well enough. Is there a way to switch the layout i haven't seen?

Aside from having to link my account initially, I've not noticed anything Facebook related. I think there is a social area you can go into, but not noticed anything intrusive so far.

I couldn't get telekinesis to work either

I found if you just twitch the stick towards you, it shoots the object further away, and vice versa, bit confusing, and if there's something that requires me to do it quickly, I'm going to struggle, but it works.

Did you guys try opting in to the Beta? I think it's called indexsupport or something like that.

If you right click on the game in your steam library is there an option to start in Oculus VR mode? If not have you tried using "-vrmode oculus" in the launch options?

Can't play now, but will try that.

About half the games in the bundle are unplayable on quest as far as i can tell. Unless there is a controller fix coming....

No complaints for the price, but buggy as hell.

Creed seems to play just fine. Feels like I need a bigger play space though, when they circle around I'm acutely aware that whilst one direction has me punching over the top of a sofa at worst, the other has me punching into a wall or glass door.
