*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I had my first, and only so far, instance of feeling sick yesterday evening.

I bought Eleven Table Tennis on Steam and when I first ran it through Virtual Desktop/SteamVR right after the introduction where the ball falls down onto the table the graphics started flickering like mad and the game locked still flickering. This was most disconcerting. It turned out Kaspersky decided it wanted me to confirm the allowance of something regarding the game so once I accepted that all was good.

Haha wow! Still havinng fun and games with getting my Quest to detect as USB3 on my PC. But the big change this time is that I have actually upgraded my PC. The case now has proper USB 3 ports on the front and the montherboard has a plethora of USB3 connections on the back. But no, still detects as USB 2. :o

Did you reinstall windows?

If youve changed all those components, and windows fresh, has to be the cable or quest surely.

Is it the official link cable?

(2) USB 3.2 being detected as USB 2.0 by Link : OculusQuest (reddit.com)

Taken from the link.

"This is gonna sound crazy. But try plugging opposite ends of your cable in.

Like if end A was plugged into your computer and B was plugged into your Quest, try the opposite - A into your Quest and B into your computer.

It might not work, but sometimes it be like that.

I spent at least an hour trying to fix this last night. Plugged it in the other way around and it worked."

Didn't realise Echo VR was FREE
downloaded it now, trying tonight, hope i don't feel sick ! lol

If you don't have enough space for Eleven Table Tennis, you don't have enough space for Echo VR. You have to move around a lot in the game. Full of twisting and turning, and you can't stand still.

You can play against AI

I'm about to take my first steps into the VR world having tried my friends Q1 ages ago and have always wanted one since.
I didn't want to drop £400 on the original Q1, but I can get the Q2 for £270 new, which I'm happy to spend (although after all the accessories it'll be close to £400! :o)
Also will be buying the GOMRVR Halo strap and a cheap £10 PU leather face cover to use whilst I wait for the VR Cover Facial Interface to be back in stock and then I can buy that with the controller grips.

I've had a look at games, and I'm going to have to limit myself on buying initially as there's so many that look good!
Are people buying on Steam and then using VD or just buying via the Quest store? As the games through Steam are cheaper when on sale, but then I guess the games aren't portable and it's still an extra step to do before playing.

I think initially I'll pick up the New Year's Pack (Gun Club, In Death: Unchained, Space Pirate Trainer), Beat Saber, possibly Vader Immortal Episode 1 and Superhot.
How often do games go on sale? If it's anywhere half as regular as Steam sales, I'll be happy to wait as and when they drop in price.

Ok... got my quest 2.... and coming from a Rift S mind.

Just wow. I mean.... no frikkin cable??!?!!

And then going into handsfree mode?

I tell you.... this is just getting better :)

Did I read somewhere that all Vader episodes were available in a bundle price?
Also if you buy on the Rift platform does it become available in the quest store or are they separate purchases?

Think the Vader bundle has gone now, their deals dont last long at all and change a lot. It is cross buy though.

There are a couple of other bundles on the Oculus store at the moment.

I think Eleven is cross-buy - games like this (that require minimal lag) should really be played locally IMHO
