Ok Got the strap yesterday, is a step up from the stock, seems sturdy enough, easy to fit over the speaker sides in the headset just like the original, good fit and comfortable at back of head, easy to adjust head size with rotary control. Lack of any foam at top of head doesn't make any difference to comfort. Still feel some weight of the headset on face so need some slight adjustment by moving headset to get it more comfortable.

My ideal headset with strap would be one that allows the whole headset to seemingly float in front of eyes, with weight distributed evenly all around the headset and strap. I think maybe if there was a headset with some of the electronics all inside headset and strap unit, this might allow for a more even weight distribution all around. I'm sure that in future the headset design will change to get the whole contraption more comfortable.

Obviously If I had a whole selection of straps to try on I would do so and get the most comfortable, but I'm not convinmced there is the perfect strap, its a case of buying what seems a decent strap and sticking with it.
Just another and final update on this, though strap wasn't bad I ordered the Kiwi design strap to test it out, is a better strap overall, so sticking with the Kiwi and returned the other one.

I have the Wander app, its pretty amazing, way up there with one of my favourite apps on the Quest.

I have quite a few favourites locations on my profile on the app, just wondering does anyone know where the favourites are saved on the headset so that I may back them up to my computer, just in case I have to reset the headset some time and I don't want the hassle of doing all the favourites on Wander again?

Thanks.

I bought Wander a couple of days ago, seems to be very similar to Google Earth pcvr but native to the quest. i could've just streamed Google Earth :o

Just tried my Quest 2 in PCVR for the first time since i upgraded to 12700K and just wow! Frame rate is a lot higher now! I think i use to get micro stutters or slight hitching but thats gone now too. Was playing blade and sorcery and then some half life alyx and both ran flawlessly. Loving it!

Im on Win11, i think the scheduling helps abit too with Alder Lake.

Has anyone tried a pwerbank with the Kiwi design strap? Oh I know I could have bought a strap with a battery but they don't hold much of a charge.
I have ordered this one from Argos,
Going to have a go at attaching it to the Quest with Velcro or maybe even put it inside a car seatbelt pad if it fits inside, cut to size and attach to the quest.
Any DIY'ers who have done this with the Kiwi strap let me know how you did it. I take it I will have to disconnect the powerbank cable when the quest is charged, else the green light on the quest will stay on?
Thanks.
