Struggling with the whole room concept. It sounds great, but from a game perspective (titles at the moment), moving a round a room, surely when you get to the room limits means you have to move back, and thus wouldnt that translate back to the game, I.E. you are then going back on yourself?

Stick a Rift in one of these, problem solved :)

One of the problems of VR which they need to solve, a proper method of travelling.

Expect a lot of games to feature warping or portals from one set space to another.

Played with some VR on the Samsung Gear VR. I won't be rushing in and will wait for reviews before deciding in which direction to go.

I'd already thrown down 500 stinkers for the 980i, what's another 60 in the grand scheme of things. Now the big gamble here is whether my poor mincers can even handle VR.

EDIT - actually 48 -
Sub-Total: £574.17
Shipping: £48.00
Tax: £124.43
Total: £746.60

I paid £1600 for Titan X SLI.

So in comparison to that, it might seem 'cheap' but it's still £217 more than an Oculus.

Always wary of first gen hardware and longevity. Inevitably there will be an Oculus Rift II and Vive II somewhere down the road which will be better, cheaper etc.

Anyway, decided to hang on to my Rift order and not bother with the Vive.

Sold my DK2 and wont jump back in until rez/fov is a lot higher.
I think even more than 4k is needed and I don't like the screen borders showing, broke my immersion.
So a long wait until the tech gets where I want it to be.
Once the novelty wore off, I couldn't ignore these short comings, especially at the prices now being demanded.

Fair points, but you won't have experienced the better displays, tracking and hand controllers that the consumer versions will have which all add a lot.

Also, almost anything bar a few exceptions that you will have played with a DK2 will have been bodged to work or be tech demos, no? So the software wasn't there either.
