Should the headset be warm to the touch?
Just picked up the headset and it is quite warm to the touch.pc has been on dl the game but the headset has not been used since 5pm ish

So when pc is off it will get cooler?
I don`t have to unplug after use I take it?
Occulus app is running because I am DL those free games atm but won`t be running all the time

With the Oculus app closed, it still runs a service in the background, and can update games even without Home open. If you don't want it to do that, google Oculus Tray Tool and use that to suspend the background service.

Wait until you try robo recall ;)

I got to play Robo Recall for an hour last night and it's jaw dropping! Totally addictive too! :D

I watched a lot of YouTube videos of this game a while back but not a single one prepared me for the sensation of standing among 8/9 foot robots during the intro. I'm sure my jaw hit the floor.

Yesterday was my first VR experience outside of Google Cardboard and it's worth every penny in my eyes. Amazing stuff!

I've played an Oculus Rift for a short while with the dreamdeck demo, and a bit of Elite before the touch controllers came out, so I sort of knew what to expect... or so I thought!

The Rift + touch controllers are the most amazing gaming experience I've had in years. It's a revelation to have 'hands' in your VR experience and to be able to handle and manipulate objects. The tracking works really well with just two cameras. I plan on getting a third eventually.

Robo Recall is incredible. Amazing that this is currently free with the Rift. My 16 year old daughter played it and it freaked her out when all the robots jumped at her (even though she had watched me play it and knew what to expect).

I tried the Echo Arena tutorials, and the graphics and mechanics of movement are really excellent. Looking down at your arms and hands to see robot versions mimicking your every movement is surreal. I'm looking forward to getting Lone Echo soon.

I got Vivecraft, the VR mod for minecraft working last night, and that's really cool to be able to inhabit that game world, and really get a feel for its scale. The controls are awkward at first, but with some tweaking it's great fun. This is one my daughter really wants to try.

I also played some seated VR. Sublevel Zero (A Descent clone), Battlezone VR, and Elite. These were excellent experiences, but not as impressive as the standing VR games.

The rift itself is really comfortable and well made. I wear glasses, but I decided for now not to wear them so there's no danger of scratching the rift lenses. I can see well enough in VR without them, though not as clear as I'd like, so I plan to get some prescription lenses for the Rift soon. I'm very impressed with the headphones. They sound better than my Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset by a long way.

My biggest problem is I don't quite have enough room at the moment for small room scale, so I've got to clear some more space in my attic (big junk clearance) to enlarge the playing area. Still plenty big enough for standing experiences though.

At £399 the Rift is an absolute bargain.

Just had my first experience with Dirt Rally with the Rift and i am blown away by its just so immersive and cool.
Did not experience any motion sickness or anything like that so all good.
