*****Official 2013 BBQ Thread- it's sizzlin'!!!!*****

I've finally talked the misses round to a Weber One touch Premium, although the price paid is that she really likes the ivory colour... :( Still at least I get one! Now to find one at a decent price, looks like I missed out on a possible deal at B&Q, seems around £157 is the usual.

I'm a complete bbq noob. I've been burning meat on 'em for years but it's only since I've looked into getting new one that I've realised where I have been going wrong for so long!

Have we ever had a poll on which is the preferred BBQ option, charcoal or gas?

My vote: Coal - it only feels like a BBQ if you go back to being primitive and making fire the proper way without getting fire through a tap - i.e. gas.

I do like charcoal, but I love the convenience of the Gas!

Although not too sunny out it is nice and warm so BBQ will be on tonight :) Anyone else having one?

I'd love one but I'll be too busy drinking in a beer garden tonight :p

If the weather is as awesomely warm and sunny as it is today we'll be BBQing tomorrow I think.

Charcoal is perfect for special occasions such as when it is sunny in the UK.

Gas for cooking for 1-2 people or regularly grilling up.

Nice thing about California is you can have a gas grill at home and then a lot of the beaches and parks (and our housing development as it happesn) have fixed charcol BBQs so easy for groups.
