I found this.

It may depend on whether the HP tool sees your USB key.

every time i try that, transfer files to stick, set usb boot in bios. then when boot says something like cant boot from drive c :( ?? any suggestions what doing wrong. any file need adjusted?

Well that HP fing did see my key, and all seemed fine. I got nothing at hand to test it on..
I read..

4. Make sure that the USB Flash Key is at the top of the boot order in your bios so that when the motherboard is turned on it will immediately boot to the USB Flash Key and boot cleanly to an A: prompt. (press something like F11 to come in in the boot order - take a look in your Manual, it's the easyest way and the Drive letter is no problem any more)
5. Simply type in flash at the A: prompt and the rest will be handled by the batch file itself. (or remmember the Driver letter your USB is connected and type that)
6. Clear the CMOS. Reboot system and the flashed version of the BIOS should now be present on your screen. (I described this in many other posts here)

I also found..

Tip from Daniel Butler: I have a Phoenix BIOS, Revision 6. After a lot of frustration, I found that you need to go to the Boot Order screen and select "Harddisk" and hit enter, giving you a list of IDE hard drives - for some reason, this BIOS prefers to call a USB device an IDE harddrive...but whatever. :)

Buy a floppy drive well worth it
I personally will never use abits flash menu ever again
but it's worth knowing you can order a new bios chip for the board
for about a tenner worst case scenario.

Just finished installing
E6850 (ultra 120 extreme)
OCZ PC6400 Platinum
Abit IP35 Pro
X-fi Music
8800GTX
600W Enermax Noisetaker (from my old pc but works fine)

It works and boots into windows fine but the case speaker won't stop beeping.
dee dee dee dee dee... with every second dee being slightly higher pitched.
Post code shows up as 'FF'.

Also, when I went into the bios and into uguru, the DDR information showed up as scrambled characters. I changed the ratio to 1:1 and now it shows up as normal text... but I have no idea why it's beeping. I thought it might be the voltage (default is 1.8 but the RAM is rated for 1.9-2.0).. I tried changing it to 1.9 but then it won't post. The post code stops at C1 which is detect memory.

Everything is plugged in correctly. 24 pin on motherboard, 8 pin on motherboard and 2 6pins on the video card.. I also plugged in the molex connector for PCIE (I think I only need this if running two video cards but not entirely sure)

Anyone have any ideas?

Could it be I just need to flash the bios? I haven't been able to do this yet as I can't seem to find a floppy disk laying around anywhere.

I checked the OCZ site and my ram is actually rated for 2.1v. I changed this and it boots fine. Still beeps though.

....Just figured it out and I feel stupid.

My heatsink fan doesn't have a 4pin header to plug into the mobo so I plugged it into Aux1 instead. It was beeping because there wasn't an RPM reading for the CPU. Disabled warning on CPU fan and changed it to Aux1 and the beeping has dissapeared.

Woo!

Woo!

My Tuniq Tower 120 fan has only a 3pin plug but that fits fine into the cpu fan header.......

Thanks for that Scoobie Dave.

Ill get it for when my new CPU arrives.

Has any one had any issues updating to this from the beta BIOS through windows?
