**Official ABIT IP-35 Pro Review/Overclock/Guide Thread**

Just for info, added the new official bios to the original page as seen below:-

BIOS ID:11

1. Support CL=3.
2. Enhanced compatibility with certain memories.
3. Support Command Rate adjusting function.
4. Update Jmicron BIOS to V1.06.69.
5. BIOS compiled date: 07/13/2007

:)

DO you think this motherboard would easly be able to overclock:

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz To 1000mhz

And a Q6600 to around 3.3+ on air? Well, i know this is affected by cooling and all. But it has the capabilities? as in, it doesn't start showing problems when it starts to get in the higher FBS range.

Thanks.

If the rest of your components are upto it then yes, the mobo can do the quad oc.
Do we know if your RAM can do that (I believe that they have changed the modules on recent 5300 from D9GMH)?

Is the OP going to make a review? or anyone else in the forum?

Also, do you definitely need a flopy disk to flash the bios? I was reading through the instructions on a link in the op, but it is using a floppy disk. I didn't think many people had these now days? Cant you put it on a cd and just tell it to boot from cd?

And why is one of the reviews Chinese? lol

I flashed mine using the abit flashmenu tool in windows (latest version) about 20 mins ago, I knew the risks but tried it anyway and all went smoothly, I just covered my eyes and tried to keep calm lol. Its up to you, either find the less risky way or go for it in windows (although I remember an official Epox bios writer saying he would never use anything other than windows).

You can do it from floppy, usb memory stick, CD, FlashMenu (Windoes utility) ...

Get a floppy drive they are so cheap that flashmenu is a lottery.
As for the latest bios i don't really see the point at the moment
Can i do 2t on my crucial ballistix 6400?

Just updated to latest official bios via drdos floppy
smooth as silk update no idea what 2t is tbh was wondering if i could do cl3
on the crucial ballistix 6400's at 401mhz

Honest answer. . . . I'm just awaiting on my 4 x 1GB of Crucial 8500C5 as they are out of stock where I ordered them from I recieved 2GB today, hopefully I will recieve them by friday - not bad considering they are £90 less than the ridiculous price this place sells them for & £70 less than the this weeks special deal. It wont be a full in-depth review or anything I'm not a Computer Engineer lol, but I will post my clocks etc.

It doesn't suprise me you found them cheaper. Any posts which even hint they arnt the cheapest get deleated though. Even though they go round parading they are cheaper then competitors.
