It doesn't suprise me you found them cheaper. Any posts which even hint they arnt the cheapest get deleated though. Even though they go round parading they are cheaper then competitors.
Hehe, that just makes things worse for the retailer, rather than taking into consideration a positive criticism they merely ignore it & treat you like a piece of excrement which in turn makes the customers angry which in turn means bad consequences for business. . . . . . enough said. :)

I am almost sure the 5300/6400/8500 is still the exact same d9.
But you never know which etailer has which.

How childish! all I was stating was I put it on the original thread lol  I wasn't trying to steal your claim to fame or anything - I didn't realise it was that important to or you was in some sort of exclusive childish race sorry. . . . lol

Im not childish, I just have a sense of humour that's all.

Chill out dude! :p

Anyone tried the m629b_12AT Bios yet?

Got this board with 6750 and 2Gb Corsair CL4 ram in it. Sweet upgrade from hot and loud prescott 3.4GHz!!! :D One little thing is annoying me, the pause in the boot sequence to show that the DVD-Rom is on the JMicron controller.

Is there a way to disable the delay, it's only a couple of seconds but why show it at all?

Apart from this I have one other little question. If you use uGuru to OC and select the "Turbo" option it puts 1.5V through the cpu. Is this much juice needed. I've seen lots of much higher OCs with lower cpu voltages. Haven't had much time to try other settings myself yet, thought I'd get your (why does it change "u r" to **???) wisdom first... one more... there are % settings at the end of the uGuru settings that I have no clue about (one other reason I haven't OC'd manually) any info on what they do?

I have noticed this as well, would also like to know...

what have you got the JMicron set to (RAID, IDE etc.)?

RinanH, I usually setup the 3 user profiles how I want & use those in preference to the factory presets.

At work now so not certain but AFAIK it's set to IDE. Only a DVD hanging off it so I wouldn't have seen the point in anything else... will check when I get home though.

I am about to switch to a sata only setup from
1x sata master 1x ide dvdrw 1 x ide hdd
now i can only find one setting for sata and thats in the integrated perephirals
which is ide/raid etc which settings will i need to disable the ide
altogether or is this a jumper.I thought there were 4x sata ports
and the extra were jmicron chip controlled?
edit:ok found it you disable the jmicron storage controller

you did extract it & rename it to m629b_12.bin?

Well I think I was close. I knew that it had to be a BIN file so I named it 'M629b_12AT.BIN'

So from what your saying I need to take out the 'AT' from the file name. I will give it a go later on when im back home.

;)

EDIT: Flashed fine when I got home. Cheers! :)

editk found it you disable the jmicron storage controller

Just note that if u disable the JMicron controller you will also lose the eSATA ports on the backplate which are controlled by it...

Anyone figure out how to set the JMicron boot delay to 0secs?

Hi Guys
i seem to be have a few problems with my Motherboard. for some reason it cant detect its on board Network. and every PCI card i fit to this board its cant find then as well. i have done a clean install of windows xp and installed all the drivers for it. the board runs fine but it wont connect to the internet. the network is not even showing up in the Device Manager. i have tried a sound card in and a tv card in there as well but this board cant find any of the cards i install. is there anyone out there that has had the same problem with this board .
