It goes like this.

Visit Trainer
Buy skill books for your specialisation
Click skill books to learn
Check skill screen (shortcut is...J or K I forget)
If they have a funky little moving lights outline they are new.

Some skill sare replacements, i.e Funky Slash 2 replaces Funky Slash 1 but you still have the skill in your book, no point using both as they share a cooldown.

Another tip, chain skills that are "always" i.e Funky Slash > Disco Slash > Hangover Slash will overwrite their skill icons on your skill bar, so when you use funky, Disco will pop up in it's place, and then Hangover. Once the chain is done or interupted, Funky will be back again.

Have to say I realy like that idea, reduces action bar clutter.

Oh and I suggest re mapping the keys for the 2nd skill bar which are by default A+ a key, unfortunatly A is strafe left. I made mine shift+[key].
 
Ok, thanks for all the new info guys. I will certainly be remembering it in 10days time so I can level up quicker than fighting with just two swords! :)

After round #3 finished yesterday evening I went back to Guild Wars for a bit and kept hitting Aion shortcut keys only to get the wrong windows popping up :D

There was nothing really new that I seen so far in this game, that other MMO's haven't done already. But I did like what I did see of it. So I have pre-ordered and will give this game a try on release for sure.

I just hope that they can give us a good end game experience.

I had to stop playing because of game breaking lag on the last two days. Not many others were getting it, and it wasn't my connections fault :confused:

I didn't see anything that made me really want to sub, the world was quite linear and the grind was pretty bad. I had a few good moments, really wanted to get in a big OcUK group before it ended, but I had to pull out with all that lag.

If there is a trial I will consider giving it another blast.
 
Thanks for the screenies Robin, I'm looking good in that screeny with 3000DP :P

I only had 3 lag spikes (each lasting 3 seconds) over my whole weekend? Hopefully it will be better for you next beta Lyon and we can get a big group going :)
 
Yeah, nice glowing effect on you there because of your DP level Maxilive. :)

Sadly I had lots of lag, mainly during peak times, which was to be expected.

And v0id, nice MJ screen shot mate. :)
 
hehe. I never used my DP as I haven't got any good skills that use it. Here are some updates coming from version 1.5 (retail in EU/US):

I have pre-ordered this so i will be joining you on the next beta phase in 2 weeks time :D. I hope i get a key that is not used, i have already setup my master account so i am good to go :cool:

Voice comms wouldn't be a bad idea for the next beta weekend. Talkingaway is a lot better than typing into chat boxes.

Would you be kind enough to heal me fast I am dying to this rather mean mob

takes a lot longer to type than say ;)

Yeah but usualy it just ends up as "HEAL!wwwwwssssssaswwwwwwwww"

+1 for voice comms, anyone have a TS/Vent server? Alternatively theirs skype.
 
Do you need a new beta key for each beta weekend or is it the same? And also do you start again from lvl 1 each time and do you need to download client again from scratch?
