Open the drop down list and select Sniper or Spotter rather than Rifleman (default).

I like this game ( I think) but its being ruined for me by a few things, mainly when scoped the enemy warp all over the place meaning to hit them is just pot luck, this is the same for everyone though as I understand it as everyone i've asked has the same issue.
secondly the AI cheats, last night in game I killed the rear tank in a column as they were moving away, I jav'd it from about 800metres, I bobbed up from a raised mound on a ridge and dropped it whilst it was moving away from me and bobbed down and crawled out of site to behind a house, the front tank then ( i assume) then swung its turret round and shot me through the house not even with a shell though, it was bullets.
Later that round we were heading to a LZ in a blackhawk and we were low behind a hill line out of sight, we had a buy on the ground in the village passing details on and he said every one of the AI armour was tracking us with turrets from behind the hill.

Not sure but I had the same error as well. I eventually downloaded the demo through Steam with no problems.

graphics card is not overclcoked , cpu is but why should that be a problem when all my other games run fine , by what i have read on the net there are a lot of people having issues with this game running on vista 64bit ....seems to run fine on vist 32bit .karlos,
You overclocked the vidcard at all ??
If so drop the clocks a bit, if you've not clocked it ignore
Also, cpu clocked ? (apply the above)
This heat spell can account for a lot of problems especially with overclocked gpus/cpu's
Other than the above i aint got anything to suggest
I have run vista x64 for yrs, only time i had that type of error was when i clocked a gpu and the cooling was naff lol

1.2km, nice shot, i remember playing the scoutys sniper mod for bf2 and the longest shot i ever got was around 1km, also used to love the sniping in the delta force games, as they done a decent job of recreating actual bullet trajectorys and scope use.Just got a headshot with the M24 at circa 860m. Decent effective range with it seems to top out at about 650m, as you're running out of mildot by then. I've hit a bloke currently at just over 1.2km away but he's very nearly out of my scope!
