Is there any way of stopping Nani always shooting from long range? I've altered the setting saying 'Long shots - rarely' but it's not making nay difference.

I may well sell him seeing as the transfer window has just re-opened.

Could be a number of things - are you using creativity or not? Also, what about your tactics? Are they fluid or rigid?

I'm finding that too. The shouts and team orders at halftime don't seem to do anything.

I'm not so sure about the shouts, but I still use them. I find the best most effective thing to do is find a tactic and (importantly) find a formation that works and stick with it regardless. That's the only thing that I have found work for me, but it takes many games.

A combination of shouts, work the ball into the box, play through the defence and exploit the flanks seems to sort of stop them doing that nonsense.

Hate the amount of time spent watching players smacking it wide because "they can cut inside"

Hereford in the Premiership.
7-4 on aggregate against Stockport (Beat them 4-2 only a few days before too for me to even get in the play offs)
Then won 2-1 :)

Won 6/6 in the group stage. Scored 20 and conceded 2, one of them was in the last game, by the keeper. He shot right from his own half, and it went over my keeper!!! Was pretty annoyed. Managed to get the full money reward (110k per win in the group stage).

I keep getting random injuries that make me keep on playing the same players over and over again. Just drains their fitness!!

Nonetheless, I won the MTN8 cup once again, 3-2 against Olympic Pirates. Hat-trick by Fransman!

I won 2 and drew 2 in the league (draws to Bloem Celtic and Kaizer Chefs, which ain't bad teams).

Managed to win the 1st leg of the ACL semi final to (imo) the best team, ES Tunis. We played much better, winning the game 3-1. 3 assists from Mavimbela (13 in 12 appearances this season) helped me triumph. We deserved to win by a lot! We were all over them. Too bad we conceded an away goal. I even did a mistake and put on an 18 y/o striker instead of Boulainceur, but he managed to score on his debut :D :D :D Played the match with a LB with 70% condition due to injury!

Team have been great, apart from the league, where we could be doing a tad better. Mavimbela has been great (3 goals and 13 assists in 12 appearances, 7.97 avg. rating), Mofokeng with 10 goals in 13 (13 in the ACL, incl. lasts season's preliminaries), Fransman with 6 goals in 10. Then there are a few other players like Lanoizelet with an avg. rating of 8.05, Mdluli with 8.02 and Medjahed with 7.91.

Not bad :D:D:D

Got a crash dump whilst writing this.

At least everything is saved :D :D

EDIT: Another one??!!

Lost my last game, which was a 1-0 win, with my 16 y/o keeper getting injured :D

I suppose you could set his creativity to less but that sort of defeats the object if you ask me. I wouldn't want to change the tactics either, as that will effect the whole team rather than the individual.

Can you set FM to save your games to Steam or something so I can pick them up and play on my PC and laptop?

Doubt it. But you can put your save game on some cloud and download it each time. (Or pen drive)

Managed to beat ES Tunis (imo best team in the cup) 3-1 and 3-2, so I am in the final. I face ORLANDO PIRATES in the final, a South African team who is my rival.

One of the injuries is back, but I have 1 suspension and I other injury, apart from the ones told above. Apart from that, one player has just returned from another injury (80% condition). My bench is a bunch of 18 year olds, including a 16 y/o keeper!Had to play 5 at the back, as I have no other players!!!

3 players need 1 yellow for suspension. Not looking good.

I do like it on this game when you get someone come through your youth system, you think that he looks half decent, set him up on a nice long contract and then they start to actually develop the way you hoped! Mitch Booth is going to be a legendary Liverpool forward, up there with Rushy! Maybe if I get him to grow a tache like Rushes then there is no way he will not end up brilliant!

Just got Cambridge Utd into Championship, completely demolished L1 had the title sorted by march. Also won the Johnstons trophy for the double :)

My best players this season have been my 2 youth stars, the DC in particular is looking like my future captain for sure.

DC - Been fantastic in the covering role, with some work on his heading he will be amazing.

Striker - His form has dropped off recently due to me speeding through the remaining games with no real tactical input, was about 20points ahead at one point

Only problem is the stadium is getting maxed out now and is only rented so hoping I can still compete in the Championship financially if I get a new stadium. Any tips of budgeting for this?

With regards to budgeting, sometimes you have to either go for broke, invest everything into the team and hope for another promotion quickly. Then reap the rewards of Premiership football and that will lead onto the Stadium at some point.

Other times, it is best to go slow and steady, aim to stay in the Champ for a few years, but have to sell some of your best players, and if the guys you have screened us above get a nice bid, then you might have to just accept it.

Keep an eye on all new contracts you offer, they sneak it little clauses that don't seem too much of a problem at the time, but they can severely cripple you if you don't have enough coming in. Best of luck with it though!

Now the seasons over I just had a message saying they are adding 5k seats for £520k so I'm off to the national hockey stadium for 9months! Looks like it'll stay rented for a while then, probably best incase I don't stay in the CH.

haha I can picture that. That's the best part of the game in my opinion. Developing your youth players. Nothing beats it. I like to buy in 15/16 year olds with 4-5 star potential and send them out on loans for a few seasons. Not all of them work out especially if they get injured along the way, but one of two out of a handful *might* just make it into the first team. How old are your youth players before you think they're ready? I bought a english 19 y/o striker for half a million who had 5 star future potential and he is working out quite nicely but I am playing him in my first team regularly. (I got Bury into the Premiership) so I have some money finally, even though I have a tiny stadium.

I find it helpful to expand your stadium ASAP! The more seats the more season tickets. The more season tickets, the more income. As Huddersfield I had a 40,000 seater stadium after several expansions (and 20 years or so!) - I was getting £30-£60million transfer budgets every season. Arsenal on the other hand had a much nicer, larger stadium and they were offered £100 million! I am now playing as Bury and have a 11000 seater stadium! My first season in the Premiership got me £10 million transfer budget. I have now expanded my stadium to 18,000 seats but I doubt it will make a huge difference to my income. You can instantly see the difference. Obviously there is much more to it than just stadium size, there is reputation and placing in the Premiership - but it is food for thought!

I feel it really is a matter of just how good the youth player is as to whether you should use them straight away or be more sparing with how you employ them.

Rush Jr has had his first season on my books (was taken in with a bunch of youths) but I kept him in the youth team. I know he will get games there, and gets good training facilities to use too!

I feel though that I may be moving on Mr Carroll after this season, and Rush Jr will be the perfect replacement for him straight away even at such a tender age.

Still trying to figure out a really good formation though as I don't score enough goals with the 4-2-3-1 I am using currently. Captain Bite People might have to go too as he has not been prolific for me, wish he was but since the update I think he is a little bit worse than before.

It is a great feeling when you get a team to the top leagues and get all the facilities upgraded, and end up with a nice stadium too! Making a Fergie of yourself!

SERIOUSLY FM??!?!?!?!

So the first leg ended 0-0. I had to play 5 at the back (first time ever) because I literally had NOBODY else to play. Now I was pretty pleased that i will have the most injury free team possible (except my reserve LB) and no suspensions. FM international duty decides to take 5 first team players!!! I can't even keep them because they have some stupid qualification game.

WHY FM WHYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!
