There are database mods for previous versions to bring the transfers up to date if you don't have them already.

Just signed Thierry Henry on my staff at Cambridge Utd for £500 a week :D
 
Sold Ribery to Arsenal for £20,000,000. Cheapskates would only pay £6,000,000 of it up front though and no other teams were interested! Still, that's £160,000 a week off the wage bill. :D
 
Title chances have just taken a blow.

Played Wigan (bottom of league) away and had 29 shots (9 on target) and 63% possession. Wigan had 2 shots on target and came from 0-1 down to beat me 2-1.

Stupid bloody game.

And in my very next match I played Southampton (2nd bottom of league) and lost 1-0! I've now lost to Wigan and Southampton in my last 2 games. Between them they had won 9 of 61 Premier League matches this season.

Sandwiched between those 2 defeats was a comfortable 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the Quarter Final of the Champions League. I haven't a clue what is happening.

Burnley, reading, Bolton and wolves for me are the ones that seem to do really well.

Going to the madejski is like taking a Sunday league side to the Nou Camp in my current save.
 
Just pulled PSG in the Quarter Final of the CL, this is after drawing 0-0 in Greece and then thumping Olympiakos 4-0 at home. Managed to catch up to Dortmund in the league after a few epic unbeaten runs broken up by a super unrealistic loss to Augsberg who were bottom of the league at the time, and a loss against Hannover who managed to survive against me for a stupid amount of time after going 1-0 up on their only corner of the match. :mad:

Just got beaten in the Champions League by Galatasaray. I was all over them in the 2nd leg but couldn't score. The game was 1-1 on aggregate and about to go into extra time when they scored from a corner. :(

On top of that, I'm also getting graphical glitches in the game. It doesn't just happen on the 3D pitch, it also happens just on text screens. Example below:

I'll have to try a different game to see if I get the same issue.
 
I am playing as Bury in the Premiership and I've just had a good player ask for a transfer to a bigger club :( Annoying! Even though I managed to get into the CL and finished 4th in the Premiership that's not good enough apparently. At least I'm getting a good transfer budget now. £30 million in the January window. Not bad.

I've just drawn Real Madrid in the CL knockout round. :D
 
The bigger club things happen every so often for me, it's very funny as they usually run off for a big fee and wage to then rot in the reserves and ask to crawl back, I never cave :D
 
In my last 8 Premier League games of the season, I lost to Newcastle, Southampton, Wigan yet managed to beat Arsenal (4-0), Liverpool (3-2) and Man City (1-0)!!

I almost denied Man City winning the league but Spurs couldn't even beat Norwich in their final game.

Adebayor also finished top Premier goalscorer with 33 goals.

Such a realistic game this. ;)

I ended up in 4th place (beaten by Chelsea for 3rd on goal difference.) There was only 4pts between the top 4 teams.

Tempted to buy some players but not sure where needs improving. Maybe central defence and central midfield. Any ideas on a young Carrick type player and central defender for the future? I was looking at Doria.

Is Kyriakos Papadopoulos worth splashing out £20m on?

Varane seems to be fitting in straight away. Defensively I'm very good in the first 4 games of the season.

Just beat Genk 8-0 in the 2nd leg of the Champions League qualifier. I had 41 shots with 23 being on target! :p

I'm happier with my tactics as well. I can pretty much 'mix and match'.

I also just got some slight graphical glitches as well. I did try out another game last night without any issues so I doubt it's my graphics card. Puzzling.
 
So, to emphasise on my rant yesterday.

Am in the 3rd season at Anfield. Cannot win a game for love nor money. Am around 13th in the league with about 28 games gone. Decided in January to splash the cash as I hadnt signed anyone except Honda on a free. Got 3 players in for roughly 75 mil. Got better results for maybe 3 games, and now back to losing. Strange thing is though, my players all have a good average rating, Agger and Skrtel are both around 7.50 so should not be having the problems I am having.

When I get home tonight, I am going to give it one more try to sort the team out.

I would have told you let your team gel, but if in 3 seasons you didn't gel, i have no idea when it will happen :P Try invest in a good ass. manager, and ask for his opinions in what role players should play (Ball Winning Midfielder, Box to Box etc.) as that might help.

Also, narrow formations work miracles for me (4-1-2-1-2, 4-3-1-2)
 
I will try a narrow one later. Got El Sharawry or whatever his name is from AC plus a pretty good ML anda decent DL. Cant remember their names though. Only called them rude words the way things have been going.
