Who needs Reus when you have Kevin Volland already?! 4.5 star potential and can play RAM or ST. :D

I really need a backup left winger and a new striker. Eren Derdiyok is currently the best striker at the club and he's only good at being a target man which makes him useless most of the time with the way I set my side up. I haven't managed to have a proper look at strikers yet but I'm considering bids for Carlos Fierro and Alexander Esswein and then selling Derdiyok in the summer. I need more cash first though and I'm just assuming I'll be given more in December. I started with a £4,000,000 budget and blew £3,500,000 on Hoffman who has been incredible so far.

Fair play :) Give Wellington Nem a try, I know he's not an out and out Striker, but at the start of the game £3.5M anyway and hes yours.

Sounds pretty good, not sure if he's quite similar to Roberto Firmino who starts at Hoffenheim already though? Might be worth a punt in January depending on my funds but my first priorities are a backup left winger and a new striker. Should be fine for creative central players as I have Roberto Firmino and Salihovic on rotation at the moment. :)

Sheffield Wednesday are ****ing terrible on FM13, if anyone wants an almost certainly doomed job have a go.

I'm going to give them a go this weekend as I have Sunday free :)

:( they got relegated after a season on my save, then again so did saints which was just sad (saw almost the whole team ripped apart over the summer and ruined by dave jones, then mcinns).

Hoping saints get relegated again, making them a better prospect to manage in a few more seasons!

In Bishops Stortford news we are 4th in the BSP couple of points off top and the best team left in the fa trophy :D (after loosing out in the semi final the previous season). It's on my list of cups I have never bothered to win with the jpt. Think it'll be ours after a mad fa cup run that got us to Leeds away in the 3rd round (then thrashed).

Currently sat in 10th with Fulham (I feel dirty saying that...) in the EPL at Christmas in my new season.

Playing 4 at the back, 2 deep midfielders (one a DLP and one DM), three forward midfielder just behind the striker (2 wingers and and AM) and then a defensive forward.

Team is looking good, but my results go in runs, i.e. unbeaten for 6 games, can't win for 6 games, repeat.

Have signed:

- Steven Defour (£3.1m)
- Jagielka (£5.5m although I should have signed Jores Okore from Wigan as they went down, was cheaper than Jagielka, considerably younger and averaging 7.5 ratings every game for a team in the relegation zone)
- Wellington Nem - was playing him out wide left which isn;t his best position. Playing him through the middle and his performances and value have just jump massively
- Tello from Barcelona on a free
- A guy called Simao, a Mozambique defensive midfielder you can pick up on a free easily from Shandong Luneng. Brilliant disruptive defensive attributes.
- Leonard Kweuke, awesome defensive striker. Averages a goal every other game
- Adryan, Doria and Mattheus, all progressing well
- Zaha from Palace is an amazing super sub, getting 3 assists every 5 sub appearances
- have also taken a kid from Italy a right back, Andy Carroll and Marco Verratti all on season-long loans. Verratti is unbelievable, but I'm not playing any central midfielders, so he's a bit wasted with me.

Best piece of business I've done is buying a kid called Ademilson from Sao Paulo. Minimum fee release clause is £5.25m and has excellent stats for a poacher and is only 19 during the second season - turned a Wonderkid once I signed him. Had a blinder when he first started, scoring 5 in 5 in the EPL, but my game crashed (lost almost 2 months) and after restarting he hasn't really been the same player since.

Doing my standard of buying up all the decent regens/newgens I can find, and really making use of the scouting system. I'm also turning a monthly profit, which is bizarre as I lost a fortune last season!

I'm still sick and tired of the AI's inability to develop their own players. For example, Powell at United barely plays, and I find that so little young talent is let out on loan. I bought this up on the FM forums but it was laregly ignored.

I ran a test to prove this. Took a decent 16 year old player at Brentford, gave in a -10 and saw what happened. Arsenal bought him for £3m in the first season, he's played 1 match (LC) and that's it. Attributes haven't moved, Arsenal not interested in loaning him out. SI have really messed this part of the game up.

MVV are so inconsistant. One game they beat the 2nd place team, then the next game, we lose to the last placed team. Wtf :S

Strengthened a bit my team in Jan with a few loans. Went from 4-4-2 to 4-1-2-1-2 narrow. Hopefully I start doing better, although I lost my first game...

I sit a few points off the play off zone, so its not good. Need to win Period 4 to guarantee a playoff spot.

I got sacked from Norwich after 18 months, I finished 10th first season. Second season I went old skool and signed C Pizzaro, Klose, T Cahill.

It didn't work, I simply couldn't score goals and with Snodgrass and Pilkington not scoring like they were last season I was rock bottom by November. Then got sacked.

It's very hard playing a club with no money, I could'nt afford any strikers that could potentially score goals.

Dunno if I will start a new game...

Decided to give it another go on this patch.

Oh dear its still abysmal. Forest keeper scored past me from the edge of his own area, 2 own goals. Next match 3 own goals. Both games I had 3 injuries. Next match I play Leicester at home and have 5 injuries.

It pretty much the worst FM to date, I expect injury ******** on release day from SI but to patch it in, really is a new low for them jokers.

Sooner a new competitor comes out that is serious the better.

If u need a goal scorer honestly try Jay rodriguez, can sign him for about 3/4mil, in my wolves game i decided against it.. 3rd season in prem and southampton won the league and he scored 30 goals for them.

I've played on game where I didn't last until Christmas, and was bottom of the league. Current game I'm about fourth from bottom after a positive start. Still not Christmas, and we've not won in about 9 games.

Expecting the sack.

Unfortunately, it seems ultra realistic so far!

/still bitter about last night.

Last 8 games of the season. 4 of the 8 last games are against team who sit 13-18 in the league table, but I also have to play teams who sit 1st and 2nd.

in the 4th period, I am the only team who won 2 games out of 2.

PROMOTION!!!

Finally, I was a bit lucky in this save game. In some bizarre way, I got promoted. As I had said, things were not going well, but then I had a change in fortunes and things started going my way. I managed to win the 4th period, which guaranteed a place in the promotion play-off. Needless to say, i was satisfied, as that was my aim, regardless of how it ended.

First game I was against William II, which i won easily 4-1. In the 2nd leg, I played my reserve squad, and it showed. I started horribly wrong, conceding 2 goals, only to get one back. Still, they kept pushing on and scoring. Fortunately, i was always in front, but I was pretty scared.

In the second game I went up against RKC. After a few minutes, star striker Bola got injured, which effected the rest of my game. Bola teams up so well with my other striker, and I don't seem to score at all with out one of the two. in fact, the game ended in a bore draw, 0-0. Fortunately for me, Bola had no injury repercussions, thus I could play him from the 1st minute in the next game. And the difference showed! instantly, I started bagging in goals. By the end of the game, Bola had scored 2, Borgers has scored 2, and one was an own goal (Borders passed it in and it took a deflection). It was the first time that i won convincingly, and what a time to do it!!!

Wanduka was a massive signing. I got him for free in the summer, on a 4.2k/w wage, which ain't little for my club. He had an average rating above 7.5, creating a record for the league. From 80k, he is now worth 1.1M :D

Yes, the award names are in dutch, because I downloaded an extension that gives you real names, and it changed the award names to the language of the Nation. I need to arrange it.

I feel my team is ok, but I need to strengthen it a lot if I want to stay up. I'm going to get Innocenti permanently, on a free. he was good this season, and he has good potential. The other 2 loans I am trying to purchase. For some reason, i can't get them on a free, even though their contract is expiring this summer (maybe they accepted a new contract which will come into effect when they go back tot he parent club?). Nonetheless, my offers of 6k and 8k were accepted, but they want high wages. One guy wants 2k, which i can spend, but he is still 18, and the other one wants 8k, which is out of my reach. i'll try and sign at least one of them. No frees coming in at the moment though.

I formatted my Windows 8 drive and reinstalled Windows 7, didn't bother backing my FM save up so now I'm starting again, decided on Hamburg instead of Hoffenheim like last time. Looks like they start off with a nice mix of youth and experience, add a little bit of quality into the mix in the form of Aogo, Westermann, Adler and Van Der Vaart and it looks like a half decent side. I could really do with a new striker as I start the season with Son Heung-Min who is very promising but only 19.

After a bright start, I'm now back to conceding at least two a game, usually one in the first few minutes. Stopped scoring too.

Tried going ultra defensive and ultra attacking, no difference. It's either bugged and I'm losing interest, or I've gotten crap at it overnight, and I'm losing interest.

Either way, I'm losing interest!

This may be old news to most, but not for me.....

I had been using a great tactic from previous Football Managers (4-2-3-1) which has not been working well in FM13, especially with a weaker team. Up to FM13 I'd have the one tactic regardless of opposition, occasionally use shouts, and I'd get good results in almost all matches. In FM13 it has been frustrating, so I've been on a few forums reading about tactics and the match engine and it would appear that a little more work is required in order to get good results. The post "A Twelve Step Guide towards Playing FM13 & Understanding the ME" on the SI Games tactics forum is quite interesting and helpful.

I'm finding this years edition a bit peculiar, I can't seem to find cheap stars, every club seems to want stupid money and strikers can't score unless I revert to classic tactics.

Always try my first game with Man Utd (a nice easy one to get started), won the league by a point despite 9 loses, won league cup, knocked out in the 3rd rnd of the fa cup by Middlesbrough(I got battered 4-1 away), lost the champions league final to ac Milan on pens, after scraping through my group in 2nd place (behind shaktar) getting to the final on away goals and penalties in the knockout rounds.

My defence was excellent but my team just couldn't score, lots of 1 nils, Hernandez top scorer with 14 goals in all competitions, Rooney with 10 and RVP with 6 goals

I've entered the second season with no big signings, despite £60m kitty... Desperate for a midfielder as Scholes played 45 games in the first year, but my debts just seem to be getting bigger (the financial modelling isn't quite right for united, also the board have expanded the ground rather than invest in the training ground which has deteriorated from top facilities to good really quickly, strange considering irl they've just redeveloped half of Carrington and on top of that sponsorship deals which expire in 2013 haven't been replaced so I'm leaking about 12-14 mil a month depending on the number of homeland away games).

So i've done a Fergie and my big summer signings are giving Giggs,Scholes and Ferdinand another year. Despite my frugalness off the field, on it I've converted my tactics to classic mode and anold fashioned 4-4-2 and I can't stop scoring 31 goals in 9 games. RVP with 17 already I'm hardly out of September.

Yeah, it's certainly a strange one. I'm halfway through my second season with Fulham (10th at present) and of the top 25 rates players - 1 is a forward, 4 are midfielders and 20 are defenders!?

My second issue is still with AI inability to proactively develop their young talent. None are going out on loan, and simply not playing in the first team at all. Grim.

Well iv done it! Bishops Stortford won the BSP :D

And the Fa Trophy!! :D

Nail biting couple of weeks towards the end of the season where I didn't think it would come off...

On the plus the board are going to build me a new stadium!
