Is it just me or are the tutorials completely bugged?

Just trying to do the transfer tutorial for example, first instruction is to click on Search from the manager menu but I can't, I just get a pointer with a little cross under it and I can't click anything :/

0% of the people have the tutorial achievement, so I guess its bugged.

With my store credit and the discount I can pick this up from GMG for £10 gah is it worth it? 6% cashback too so under a tenner.

Where do you get a good set of facepacks from now? Amy all in one logos, badges and player sets around?

Yes. get it.

You can get graphics from any good Fm website (fm base/sortitoutsi/fm scout etc.) or download the mega mod above.
 
Is there much of a gulf in difficulty / time consumption between the normal mode and classic mode?

Given I am a total newcomer, would it be sensible diving right into the normal mode straight off the bat or would there be too much going on to keep track of?
 
Can someone give me advice on how transfers work? Struggling a bit with this.

It's November in my npower championship and I have a small wage and transfer budget - it says I have a weeks deadline before what? I thought the transfer season started in January?

It goes on from July to end of August and then again from the start of January to the end. It'll probably be for free transfers, they finish a week or so later after the normal transfer window.

Free transfers. Hence why it says 'Free Transfers Deadline in one week'

To the people who asked, go for the full version. Why should you play classic? If you cba doing the training, just tell your assistant to do it.

Hmm it wasn't called the Free transfers list as far as I recall. It just said transfer deadline one week.

But the bottom line is I can now try and get my free transfers in November?

Sorry I stand corrected it was free and loan.

But I still find these difficult to really understand. I will just trial and error I suppose. I often find myself having to change the budget for wages and transfer budget because the player either costs too much or he demands too much a week.

Go in the league rules. it explains everything over there. Dates and stuff. Even if there are some restrictions (specific number of leans per year etc.)
 
Are any of you up for an online game? I haven't even looked at the online options this year but if it's simple enough to get a game going maybe we could sort something out if there's enough interest. :)
 
Never done one of those before - how does it work for match days? i.e. does everyone have to watch the games at the same speed and in the same format/camera?

On another note, I survived my first season with Brentford in the EPL (2018/2019). Had a decent first half of the season, and was comfortably midtable but lost 9 in a row and ended up pulling myself out of the relegation zone with 2 games to go.

Most of my team are gens, with only 3 players over 23! I now have to make a difficult choice - I picked up a regen on a free from Olimpia in Paraguay last year... and the guy is amazing (for some reason it won't let me take screenshots). 18-19 for crossing, 20 for dribbling and 16+ for flair, off the ball, technique, workrate, passing, pace, agility and others - 4 1/2 stars!. He's unbelievable... but he had a pretty average season in his first year. Sub-7 average rating, 9 goals and 6 assists from playing as an attacking winger in a 4-2-2-2 formation.

He's only worth £5.25m, given my low reputation, and has a £30m release clause. He's also got a Match Highest Earners clause and I can't afford to offer him a new deal due to me rubbish salary allowance. I also have an amazing English forward whom I had to offer a stupid contract to in order to sign (Arsenal, Tottenham (best team in the world) and others offered him) and he has a 40% wage increase per year... Therefore their wages rise in unison to almost bankruptable levels!

I just got a £29m offer from Porto for the winger... what do I do? I have 90% of transfer revenue available but very little budget left at present and could really do with adding a few extra players. I do have a Wonderkid as my backup left winger...

Yay or Nay?

I cheated! I decided not to sell him, but saved the game before the decision and sold him... just to see what he'd be worth at a team with a bigger reputation = £36.25m!?

Think I might just hold on to him for a while :)
 
First loss in ~70 league games against a mediocre team.

I'm fed up.

I'l leaving in Jan, or at latest, in summer. My strikers are pish.

I won the super cup 1-0 (like last year) with a goal from Yanga Mbwia (like last year) from a corner (like last year). The first game ended 0-0 (like last year) against Besiktas, where i had over 20 shots (they had 2)(like last year) but still failed to score.

My strikers are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
