Surprised peeps are disappointed with it but maybe I'm just a complete novice and have no experience of anything else :D

I'm loving my game but I think I'm about to be sacked doh!

Quietly fixed Bishops Stortford, had to abandon the transfer window and start that again (little bit dishonest but when the team is just not going to stay up it has to be done). Managed to sign a quality CB from an Arab team along with some more midfielders, now 10th after 16 games :)

Regen striker is just getting better and better, despite me arguing with the staff on what to train him next in. I wont get promotion this year (missed out on far too many good players to stand a chance at that) but I should stay up I think :)

Lost to Fenerbache in my next game. So now I am 8 points behind after 6 games.

Great. Just great.

Time to run and get a new team??

Some people just aren't good at this one (and are refusing to learn new things ;))

That said this is the first year in a while where some of the changes haven't been great (mainly in the match day engine and the interface), though I really like the way it is much much harder to build a team up the leagues. Before you could just loan a few out of favour players from a couple of divisions up and storm lower leagues but now there is some proper realism to it all and it is much harder to get somewhere without building the reputation up.

Finally united the Bender boys at Dortmund. Lars and Sven :D

Somehow managed to win the Champions league last year. Had a pretty nice run to the final (toughest was Arsenal but much like in real life I just played counter attack with a good defence and they were fairly easy :p)

In the final I had Barca....now I knew it was going to be tough. I played very defensive on the counter again and they battered the **** out of me. I managed to get an early goal through Anderson and then withstood 80 mins of them having about 26 shots, my keeper had a great game. Then in the 91st min Wellington Nem broke down the right crossed for Llorente who made it 2-0...I literally jumped up and ran around the room celebrating :D

Just avoided relegation with Ilkeston FC from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier by goal difference. Tough season.

Now to try and get some money for our youth team.

I'm looking at Flamengo (Brazil). They sit 6th atm after 26 games, but their league finishes in December. Seems like the best option atm (if they sack their coach).

We can only hope...

Not bad. I once lost the 2nd division in Scotland by goal difference. Was tragic :(

Amazing option! If only you could play them and make them sack him... :p

Just beaten Everton at home to go 3rd in Le Champ  best bit of all, Villas-Boas was manager of Everton and was sacked for a 5-1 thumping away :D

Such a hilarious season with my Welsh regen striker sitting on 19 after 24 games!

Argh I've been sacked!

Really struggling with my game. Can someone offer advice?

Was playing as Peterborough in the Npower and started off quite well. I managed to develop my team slowly but surely but then lost both my strikers to serious injuries which kept them both out of the game for most of the season. By the time I got them back my players and the board had lost faith and then all sorts of nasty things started to happen. I tried to develop my tactics and familiarity but really struggled. Anyway, bottom line I got sacked and have now been appointed manager of Lincoln City. So I'm now managing a much smaller team in the Blue Square Bet Premier league but I'm hopeful of clinching promotion or at least staying in the middle this time.

But I've lost the first match lol.. Not the start I wanted...

Morale is probably very low at the moment, so don't be too harsh on your players.
Chose a tactic and keep it. Don't chop and change too much.
Find good scouts (Good Potential Ability/Currant Ability)
Good coaches
Try to sign a few players on loan from higher league clubs

All I can think of atm.

Cheers. How do you find the free transfers and loans from different clubs? By going to the search players menu? At the mo I don't know which clubs are higher than me in various leagues apart from the obvious ones of course so I'm having to look at the different leagues etc. Is there a better/easier way to source players from higher up?

Go to player search, and filter them by

- Listed for loan (obviously for loan players)
- Contract Expiring in 6 months (do this in January for free players)

Tick 'Exclude unrealistic targets' in the top right.

EDIT:

The chase is on!

After my mini-crisis, I went on to win 8 consecutive games (incl. 2 in the CL) and I conceaded only 2 goals )both in the same game against Buraspor). Sturridge was on form, and he even scored 5 against Kayserispor!! he got a 4 month injury though, but Ilbis and the Swiss guy took his scoring ability

Unfortunately, Fenerbache were smashing all of their opposition. They seem unbeatable, and they have a few beasts up front. Suddenly I was greeted by this

Urgh steam crashed and took a few hours of fm with it

4th on january 1st in the champ :D hammering the transfer market for more midfielders though as we lack real depth there...

Anyone finding this game much more difficult than the previous FMs?

What tactics are you guys using?

I'm playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 (Attacking , fluid) using default tactics with some tweaks to suit my players. I dominate most games and generally get more than 15 shots per game but cannot score. I sold Suarez to Barca in the 2nd season as he only managed 6 goals in 26 league matches (Ridiculously underrated in the game compared to players like Giroud!)

I've lost so games against much weaker sides. For instance in my 1st season using Liverpool, I got almost got knocked out of the Europa League (a play off) against AA Gent. Should have been a walk in the park. My team was pretty much the current real life team plus Wellington Nem. I'm getting knocked left right and centre by teams like QPR and Cisse and Zamora are like goal machines. WTH!! :D

I'm in my 3rd season now, I have a team on paper that could get 6th spot easily but I'm currently 11th!

My current first 11:
Reina
Sebastien Corchia, Kouma, Papadopoulos, Alaba
Lucas, Crisetig(or Gerrard and Allen)
Wellington Nem, Honda, Borini (or Sterling)
Destro

With a team like that I'm still struggling lol. Apart from Corchia, Destro, Allen, Sterling and Crisetig and they all 4.5-5 star players.

I'm in my first season as Crawley town and down in 20th position towards the end of September. Keep throwing games away at the last minute or not scoring at all. Any suggestions on a L1 striker for £60k?

I'm still enjoying it but it is pretty damn difficult isn't it. I'm playing as Kilmarnock in the SPL and they have 0 budget for transfers and a paltry £400 p/w for wages going spare. So I've had to grab the free transfers but the wage budget is proving a significant problem. At least I am winning a few games. But the going is extremely tough!

What's the best way to sell players? Everytime I have tried I end up upsetting the morale of the team. Also, what's the best way to get the best price for them?
