Need suggestions for a decent right back for Newcastle. Into my second season now, and I have limited funds...
Ivan Piris? He's crap irl but he's not bad in the game :P Romario (Corinthians), Kelly, Corchia
I'm still enjoying it but it is pretty damn difficult isn't it. I'm playing as Kilmarnock in the SPL and they have 0 budget for transfers and a paltry £400 p/w for wages going spare. So I've had to grab the free transfers but the wage budget is proving a significant problem. At least I am winning a few games. But the going is extremely tough!

What's the best way to sell players? Everytime I have tried I end up upsetting the morale of the team. Also, what's the best way to get the best price for them?

Offer to clubs.

I got Kalas on loan from Chelsea, he's awesome! I desperately want Corchia tho, so may have to wait until next season to buy him.

Having an excellent start to my 2nd season, beat Man City 3-1 on the opening fixture, and I have also beaten Spurs 3-1 (they wont the league in the first season).

My best signing so far is Daniel Ayala (£5m), bought him at the start of the game but was out on loan for the season. Consistent performer and gets the odd goal too!

i am thinking about buying this - how does it compare to 2012? Or should I just skip this?

Stick with 2012, at least for now. It's playable, and some of the new features are nice (the new staff roles in particular), but you feel you're trying to set your tactics against the new match engine rather than the opposition.

If I want to get rid of dead weight I'll generally do a couple of "Offer to Clubs." If that doesn't work I just release them on a free transfer.

I'm looking for some updated facepacks - I used the download link for the megamod that was in the thread a few pages back but there are still a lot of faces missing. What do people use for the best experience?

So true :)

I've stopped playing FM2013 until the next patch is released. I never got to experience playing this game prior to the current patch but I've read many posts on SI forums that the latest patch has made the game worse.

I couldn't get any tactic working (speaking of which, player roles are now more important - there aren't any plug-and-play tactics any more), but I'm trying a 3-6-0 of sorts and I'm having much more success. Second season in now and I've turned around a horrible run in the Championship with Crewe and have moved clear of relegation danger.

Nice one! I remember winning a CL with Roma in FM09/10 scoring 2 against Barca in the final. my striker got red carded after a few mins and I played 4-2-3 the whole game (3 AMs). Hazard was the scorer.

Every time Fenerbache slip, I slip as well. It sucks. Just now I could have gone 7 points behind (am 9 currently) but I conceded the draw in the 86th minute. I'm 4th in the league

Fenerbache - 53
Besiktas - 48
Sivasspor - 44
Galatasaray - 44

Just had a funny family look for shouting "MARIO FORMICA WANTS TO PLAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE ON HIS OWN" as he takes us up to 2-1 in the playoff final!!! (it's paused to get over screaming that)

I screamed and jumped....

Such a mad season, pretty much have to give Formica another contract for winning us the playoff final....

Oh and :D

Gutted however I got Adkins sacked from Villa for that :( (another sacked from playing us with AVB)

And owwww

Sharing with the franchise :( (though at least it's a ground I have been too)

I celebrated more than Gaston's goal against Arsenal on new years day and the penalty against Fulham on boxing day... (probably a bit ott considering they were real football days out) :D

Just madness that this is the smallest team I have ever seen in the premier league. I now have to go nuts and buy about half a team again to avoid constant losses.

Even worse been offered the Spurs job! One for everyone to answer, do I a. stick it out with my half built team and try to avoid going down or b. jump now and wait a year or two to get all my decent plays out of the team (signed one or two gems for the next couple of years already)

Stick with it ofc! You can always start a new save as spurs if that's what you really want :p awaiting the update that BS wins Champions League...

I would stick with BS. Whats the point going to Tottenham? Let me give you an idea. Imagine you spend 10 years building a building, Then 1/2 years before completion, you go and live in a hotel.

Might as well went to the hotel in the first place, no?

I got this offer some time back (forgot to post):

needless to say, didn't accept.

I bought this 2/3 weeks ago so far am quite enjoying it, I've not experienced too many issues with it.

Started a career with Burnley and in the 1st season I finished 2nd in the league and won the FA Cup. Now that sounds great but I think I lost 13 league games that season and it was more a question of which team could mess up the least to get promoted.

And whilst I did beat Spurs, Swansea and Villa on the way to the FA Cup, I got Millwall in the final so that was an easy victory. (the semi-finals were Burnley-Villa and Millwall-Stoke so everyone good went out early).

I've now played 1 and a half seasons in the Premiership pretty much all battling relegation (as expected). I've spend the 2nd half of last season and this season trying to find a better tactic as the one I used to get promoted (a 4-1-3-2) only got me 9 goals in the first 23 Premier League games.

I've partially hindered myself in this because I've concentrated on buying youth players 1st. With the exception of Fabio Grosso (34) in my 1st season and a 22 year old Goalkeeper every other purchase has been under 21.

You have chose a very good strategy. Buying (cheap) promising youngsters. I like your style! Hopefully, you have 20-20 scouts (or something close) as they pretty much guarantee talent. Update us more often. Want to hear how you get on.
