I'm in the relegation zone, Rhys Turner for my Stockport team is the leagues best scorer so far with 15 :p

I'm just scoring goals in games I've already won, but not scoring when it's needed.

Don't get me started on passing though, my team just aren't doing what I want them to do, see them running away from the ball too :p
 
Lol ive gone back to fm13, taking on a random greek team, just got them promoted to the super league but really hard to get players as there is just no money in Greece, got a 27k seated stadium but im lucky to get 2000 attendance.
 
I stopped playing FM/CM games since they take up too much time. I used to love 97/98. What I am wondering is, what is the classic mode like? Do you still have to set training regimes etc. or is it like CM2?

Well I've been playing FM (Championship Manager) since 1995, and this year's classic mode reminds me of playing back then. I tried it last year but didn't like it much, this year it is a lot better. Strips out all the unnecessary bits (training regimes, press conferences, team talks etc..) and concentrates on the matches and the transfers. The tactic setup this year is the best it has been which also helps. You can get through a season in half the time, it's fantastic as far as I'm concerned :).

Well, up until this patch my team and tactics were amazing. I have been having the best FM/CM game in 7-8 years (I have been playing since CM95). I am not sure what they have changed but it feels like my team has forgot how to follow my tactical instructions.

I have also read many people saying the same on FM forums.

Ive had that problem from day one xD gone back to fm13, got a random greek league b team to the super league and just qualified for champions league, problem being I have a wage cap of 56k and losing 250k a month making me slip into debt. Stripped the club down to bare bones and only have a couple key players. Have a 27k stadium but max attendance this season was 5500.
 
Yeah the tactic that won me back to back promotions with various teams is now terrible! It was always solid at the back and I'd get a lot of 1-0s but now my team can't defend for **** or score.

Have they said anything about another patch?
 
It's a big thread so haven't tried to look through it for my question but how hard is to get the cloud save working? All my other steam games cloud save fine but I cannot get FM2014 to do it at all. I've got VDSL with a 10Mbps upload so it should take no more than 30s at the moment for the size file I've got but steam cloud always shows as 0 of xxx amount used. Within the cloud save dialogue box within FM it shows 1GB space available... help!
 
I've been off this for a few weeks for various reasons, but will start up a save today. Does anyone know if there has been a patch/update released since the game came out?

Ignore - I'm all up to date! How has everyone been finding the match engines (i.e. full bakcs average ratings)?
 
After reading through this thread, I think I am going to stick with 2013 version. Even though I am reading good things about the classic mode on the 2014 one. Oh maybe if it comes up really cheap at the xmas sale.
 
Because Ronaldo is on such high wages, I'm not even able to offer him a new deal! I have £440k extra wages, and £176m transfer budget but unable to offer more than £500k/week as he is on £575k he won't even negotiate!
