If you can test with another psu? Seemslike the mb isn't getting enough juice to power up? Very strange for the CPU fan not to spin
hmm...i've tried the PSU back in my old sys and it fires up with fans, don't have another PSU.
If i remove the CPU its still the same that switch flashes. Mem in or out it flashes.

I've seen lots of psu's work fine on one mb and not work on others,would be good if you could borrow one to test with,what make/model psu are you using? Not ocz is it?

The actual Intel PCH Driver v9.3.0.1020, I updated each one manually as shown in the diagram below in device driver, as well as auto updating as it would not replace them by just doing a straight install. I've already updated mine last night.

I've always found with Intel drivers that doing...
INF_allOS_9.3.0.1020_PV.exe -overall
iata_cd.exe -overwrite
...seems to get all the drivers to install ok.

Just curious to know did anyone else have to install the achi driver before installing windows to there ssd? My sata settings were set to achi by default and i never had to install any drivers before my windows installation and it seems the intel achi driver is showing in device manager. Is that normal?, im not complaining as both my M4 ssdss seem to be working fine just curious to know how the achi driver installed

I never used the driver also. Ran ssd disk benchmark and all is running well. Way i see it 12 less driver = 1 less possible conflict

win7 should install all the drivers for you inc ahci drivers,only with xp and vista you need to pre install ahci and raid drivers

Hey wazza,
It always locks up when gaming (BF3 / Arma 2).
It happens about once in every 8 to 10 hours of gaming so maybe once every 3 days.
Everything is at stock apart from the RAM voltage which i set at 1.50v and of course BCLK to 101 now.

if its in gaming its usually not enough dram or qpi/vtt
for dram id use atleast 1.55v,im running that much with my samsung green
and qpi/vtt id up it from stock 1.05v to 1.10v and test with gaming again,if same thing try 1.12v qpi/vtt,you can safely use upto 1.2v but you shouldnt need that much
just so you get a rough idea,with 8gb samsung green i use 1.55v dram but with 16gb i needed 1.62v to be stable,i dont know if youd need that much,this was on z68

I keep getting lock ups when doing nothing every few hours it started yesterday, pc just locks no mouse or able to get to task manager. Its been working fine up until yesterday.
I have checked hard drive for errors, and I have down clocked my cpu to 4.5.
It is very strange no errors or reports just locks dead!!!

It is annoying allright itchy.
I have had 1 maybe 2 lockups while non gaming, but mostly whilst gaming.
I have had maybe 10 lockups since i got the board a month ago.
Have you tried setting BCLK to 100.1 or 101 itchy?
It does not seem however to have helped me although i will try wazza's kind suggestions later on.
