F10A is out for the UD5H

it adds internal cpu ppl overvoltage enabled/auto/disabled option under cpu features which was added in f9d but removed in f9e f9f f9h f9i

/happy days are here again

I have just upgraded to this motherboard and it is buttery smooth, it came with the F4 bios preinstalled, i'm guessing it's highly recommended to update to the latest stable bios even though my system is super smooth already right?, just for added features/improved stability etc? also, can I update straight to the latest bios or do I have to update the bios release by release? thank you :)

If its working perfectly then why mess with it:)

But if you do want one of the newer BIOSes available at either the Gigabyte site or Tweaktown forums, then you can jump straight to the one you want.

Remember to use Qflash to update the BIOS.

Yeh I agree, I just didnt know if I was missing out on any must have features or anything, but i'll stick with the F4 for now then thank you :D

The F10a is memory voltage bug on it. Cannot adjusted less voltage. Need to raise this with gigabyte to fix this memory voltage. It set at 1.52v and cannot get lower it down with samsung green memory to 1.28v.

i have no problem to set memory voltage with F10a ...
i saw lots of threads with sammys green memory,so my guess its more like memory rather than board
i find F10a very good for me,if not the best bios yet

Hi all,

Been having serious issues with this and the Xonar STX, keeps disappearing, seems a common fault with the STX

in the end moved to to the PCIEX8 slot from the PCIEX4 slot wanted to put it in PCIEX1_1 but the DH14 is in the way, or the PCIEX1_3 but its too close to my GTX670 DCUIIT

I reckon I'll move all this into my server rig and sell my Thecus N5200
:D

Hi, could do with a few tips, etc.

Just build a new Rig, with a 3570k, UD5H, and 8GB Corsair 1866Mhz Vengeance Memory. Ive had to take the heatsinks off as they don't fit under my Noctua D-14, which was a mistake, but nevermind, heh. They don't seem to be getting very hot.

Im on windows 7, and the system doesn't seem as stable as id like. Ive flashed to F8 BIOS, and i just had a BSOD when windows was installing SP1, and had a few other restarts. Played a game and done a little stress testing and everything was fine there.

Now im a little unsure of the memory things. CPU-Z is saying the memory is running at 667 and DRAM is 1:5, is this correct?

Ive just upped to 3.8Ghz and it's passed a bit off Intel Stress test fine. Ill be more than happy with 4Ghz on stock volts, have no real desire to go much higher, temps are about 68C at 3.8Ghz.

Edit:

Just realised in the BIOS and CPU-Z that the timmings were auto set at 9-9-9-24, and my memory is supposed to be 9-10-9-27. Could this of been causing the odd system failure? Put them to proper settings now.

You should be able to just set 40x multi for 4Ghz without changing anything. Mine will do 42 before I have to start changing settings.

Check check the memory divider in BIOS. The Gigabyte is nice as it'll show you the resulting speed setting

Being relatively new board and chipset, it's best to check all the memory voltages and timings, setting manually if required as the BIOS usually takes time to reach a level that covers all bases. My Samsung RAM defaults to 1.5v when it only needs 1.2v to run at stock speed.

You should be able to just set 40x multi for 4Ghz without changing anything. Mine will do 42 before I have to start changing settings.

Mine is straight to 46x (4.6GHz) without touch anything before I need to change the setting at bios for 4.7, 4.8, 4.9 and 5.0.

All left on auto except changing the multi
38x 3.8GHz at 1.18v
40x 4.0GHz at 1.21v
42x 4.2GHz at 1.23v
44x 4.4GHz at 1.26v
46x 4.6GHz at 1.29v

Changing at the bios vcore, other settings

47x 4.7GHz at 1.30v
48x 4.8GHz at 1.32v
49x 4.9GHz at 1.35v
50x 5.0GHz at 1.38v

My FSB: DRAM in CPU-Z is reading 1:7. Im still a little confused on the memory side of these systems lol.

I have 1866Mhz memory, ive changed the bios to Profile 1 for the XMP and it's reading 1866 instead of 1333, so assume thats ok, just unsure of the 1:7 thing, always thought it should be 1:1.

Cheers.

Also running 4Ghz without changing anything so im pretty happy with that, might see if it can do 4.2Ghz without much effort, and ill leave it at that i think, plenty fast enough.
