**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

It will work out of the box, but put a newer bios on it anyway, there's been plenty of fixes with them.

Thanks :)

If you play gaming alots, then a proper graphic card is need. But, if you only watch DVD, surf the net, video streaming and lighter game, then this onboard graphic is fine.

Thanks also, I'll be getting a GTX670 in a few weeks but would like to have a game in the mean time, so hopefully it'll be enough for a little while :)

Yeah I still saving up for new GTX670 as I am using onboard graphic Intel HD3000 and it work fine on my flight simulator x and x plane 10. But I run on sandybridge i7 2700k. But, you will get Intel HD4000 because Ivybridge support this.

So hopefully it'll run Trackmania 2 ok then, albeit on lower settings?

Just got one of these today, anyone using sli, what soundcard do you use? no room for my pci one :-(

only just put it in, put easy tune on and pressed 3rd one , so running at 4.69 ghz , bit new to this ivy bridge lark.

Lol, I've just bought this same board and the other i7 3770k from the same guy :p

Good to hear it runs at a nice easy overclock. What temps are you seeing idle and load? (using a Noctua NH-D14, so similar to yours)

the on board sound has stopped working on my system a few days ago, i had the F8 bios but have since upped it to the F10a & its still the same, im also getting the odd gf driver failure, admittedly im still using an older saphire radeon 4790 toxic card with driver 8.961.0.0.

Try a fresh install?

Is it enabled in the BIOS?

Cheers Stulid

I removed the driver & downloaded it again, plus the sounds enabled in the bios, i can get sound from headphones plugged into the case but not from my speaker volume controller, i've also checked the 2.1 speaker systems wired up properly.

still no sound from the speakers

yes its nice, moved from i2500k to i3770k , just struggling for a sound card now, want to order one , not sure what to get, will have to be pci express
I have the D2X... drivers are a bit of a PITA but seems as though its the same across all ASUS cards. I moved to ASUS from Creative because their drivers were **** so its like being between a rock and a hard place.

Got the drivers sorted though now but still have a problem where the Mic picks up a sort of buzzing sound constantly. May be due to the GPU apparently and I have moved the D2X as far away from the GPU as possible but not helped. I have configured Mumble to get rid of the background 'hum' but if I'm using Skype etc. its annoying for the other people listening to me.

HOWEVER, its a great card for listening to music, films and games on but doesn't have massive, woofing bass if that's what you require.

Are you running sli though? its a bit limited and tight when two cards are on this mobo

Thanks as it ivybridge that bring out more heat than sandybridge. I ought to stick and staying with my current sandybridge i7 2700k @ 4.8GHz @ 1.320v and still cooling below 65C in the summer with silver arrow. I don't think it isn't worthy for me to upgrade to ivybridge knowing it will struggle at 4.8GHz by the hottest heat.
