**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

Has anyones get Windows XP Pro x64 working ok on this board Z77X UD5H as mine won't work with XP, it crashes down with 8Gb memory ram and SSD. I think I need to these following steps to avoid Windows XP crashes.

!)Install as much RAM as possible (at least 2Gb, but ideally 3 or 4Gb)

2)Deactivate the paging file

3)Use 128-512Mb as a RAM disk (depending on your needs) and setup your programs to use it as storage space for temporary files/caches

Just bought one of these boards, after getting rid of an ASUS P8Z77-V LX, and this Gigabyte board is far better for me. I seemed to have a far better time installing drivers with less problems, and the PCI-e 3.0 works perfectly unlike the asus one.

Anyway, nice to see a great thread with lots of info for this board, so thanks.

Expect questions when i get stuck though lol

New Marvell SATA Controller Driver, 1.2.0.1027, 1.31MB, 2012/08/22.

Finally Marvel supply a driver which doesn't show AHCI fixed drives in Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media.:)

Official F14 BIOS has been released for download on Gigabyte's site.

Seems ok at the moment, except it's defaulting to 100.1 BCLK. Reset CMOS doesn't clear it either. Annoying but not a deal breaker.

I stick with F8 as what the point to upgrade bios if all things worked out well.

You can always downgrade back to F8.

im thinking of buying this MB, but looking at this thread, there are so many people here who have had problems with it. Is it worth getting this?
