Mines fine.
Perhaps you genuinely got a bad one and need to RMA it.

After a good few months with this piece of s.... motherboard I quit!!
After a good few months with this piece of s.... motherboard I quit!!
It has to be the worst motherboard in my 13 years of bulding PC`s. The USB`s are borked period!! I download a large file and after 1-2 hours PC freezes DEAD time dont progress nothing but switch off will work.
I personally have had enough and as soon as i can its getting ebayed !!!
Do not buy this board its pain in the ....!!!
Just when I decide to get a large file that takes more than 1 hour it freezes !!!
This week I am on a mission to sort it or dump it!! I am going to take out my xonar D2 use on board sound, remove 8gb of ram and reinstall windows if it dont fix then its going period.
i have just brought this, b grade from OCUK and it's all running nicely.
i have 5 hard drives, 1 x 120 gig kingston V200 SSD and 4 x sata 3 hdd's. it only picks 2 drives up in the bios as does windows.
i have 2 drives, 1 x ssd and a 2tb sata 3 connected to the 2 grey sata 3 ports and other 3 to the other ports. 1 has a blu ray attached.
i want to use this as a media server to if possible and leave my machine on. any reason why it's not recognising the other drives in windows?
my system:
core i5 3570k cpu
Z77X DS5H giga mobo
8 gig of black dragon geil 1600 mhz ram
1 x kingston 120 gig V200 SSD drive for windows
1 x 2tb WD green sata 3 drive
1 x 1.5 tb WD sata 3 drive
2 x 1 tb samsung and seagate HDD
will be adding my zyxel 2 tb media server hdd to it as well if i can use as a server.
blu ray dvd-rw drive
500 wt collermaster silent pro modular psy
fractal design R3 case
Xonar D2 as in PCI ? I had to bin my X-FI PCI card as it was the cause of frequent lock ups. Used onboard fine and now using a PCI-E card with no problem either.
I'm also a little on the fence about keeping this board or not...it's been probably the most problematic board I've ever had what with the soundcard issue, loads of problems with the samsung ram (which I've now swapped out as a result) and currently a nice BSOD issue which I've tracked down to the 17.3 release of intels lan driver (windows8).
Just so hard to get this thing to stay stable, with or without any overclocking :/
You can't really do any damage unless you power off the machine halfway through a flash, also it has 2 bios for this very reason so be worry about it. You have to learn some time
Oh well just locked again lasted a whole 1h:57min before it locked!!
Sound card has now been removed see if that makes any odds!!!
Its not my memory thats been checked with memtest and its not the hard drive as crystal disk says all is ok and I dont have trouble moving large files around. Even through my extrenal USB harddrive no locks.
It also does not matter about my download speed even if its low 5.0kbs it still locks.
I cannot even get a report as it locks hard and no error reports are made the only one is when I boot again saying windows was not shut down properly!
I dunno but as i have said never in my life have I had such a strange irritating problem!
I am determind to get to the bottom of this!!
So I don't have to lookm back through this thread, you have tried,
• Clear/Rest BIOS, set everything to stock values?
• BIOS updates (official and Beta?)
• Set BCLK to 100.1Mhz manually?
• Latest drivers as posted by Nelly in this thread?
