I have 2 unknown devices in the device manager and two internal usb3 ports that dont work, these must be the usb root hubs, now ive reinstalled the drivers, windows 7 64, upgraded the bios. Another fresh install installing only the usb 3 drivers. Dont know what else to try

As a last resort just installed Windows 8 to see if that helped, but still have two unknown devices and two out of the three internal usb 3 heads not working.

tried BIOS f13 and F14

off the website and off the cd and last of all from intels website

Thats great and all but there are 3 internal USB3 connections and only 1 is off the Intel chipset. Have you downloaded the 3rd party controller driver?

Does anyone have this board and an i7-3770k + Noctua NH-D14? If so what are your temperatures?

With no changes (running around 3.7) i get 35 idle, mid 70s playing BF3 and mid 80s running prime.

If i OC by the tiniest of margins it hits 100 on prime. Going to clean the thermal paste off next week (Gelid) and reapply incase i added too much last time, along with changing the D14 so it expels out the top instead of out the back, see if that helps cool it.

Those temperatures look way too high at stock speed. I don't even get that high overclocked to 4.4ghz. The Noctua is a good cooler, I think you have the right plan, reseat the cooler.

Old thermal paste cleaned off (ArcticClean) and a new tiny amount reapplied (used the spreader that comes with the Gelid Solutions this time as the drop and press hardly spread last time) and now in Prime temperatures hit 40-50.

Just installed this Motherboard lads - I get a weird high pitched whining (bit like coil whine on a gfx card) totally randomly. It will be loud for 2-3 minutes then gradually disappear but it happens even on desktop.

I THINK the sound is coming from the fans on my radiator (which are plugged via a 4 way pin splitter into the motherboard) although I can't be certain. DEFINITELY wasn't happening before on my other mobo as everything else has stayed the same.

COULD be PSU I guess as I have a TJ07 and the sound seems to come from bottom compartment...

Has anyone else had this?

Would hate to have to RMA it as it was a mission installing...

Cheers

Tom
