**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

@P3N9U1N

Thank god someone had the same problem as me :D seems to be an issue with the BIOS version then, also doesnt seem to like the baseclock to be at 100Mhz in some cases.

I'll give the F15beta a go at the weekend, cheers!

Wonder when the F15 beta will become final - seems like we've had many, many F15 beta's since the last full release. I assume that means the board is now pretty well sorted.

Seem to be having a problem with my Virtu Logix

Anyone else experiencing problems with a GTX680 and some weird vsync stuttering? Some games work flawlessly others dont..

UPDATE: going to attempt installing the latest BETA bios to see if that makes any difference

Virtu MVP is very hit and miss - I tried it for a while but eventually uninstalled it. IMHO with anything above a GTX660 or the ATI equivalent it's simply not worth installing

Having problems with the USB 3 ports on the IO . I keep getting the message that there is a power surge but the devices keep functioning. After removing all devices and uninstalling all the drives for the USB and restarting I still get the same error messages. Anyone else had this problem?

Just switched back to using the HD4000 and that was a PITA. Had to reset the CMOS to get it working again and I had checked the bios was set to AUTO for the onboard card before removing the dedicated GC I was using. After it was working I tried to set the memory to 1024MB (instead of the default 64MB) and again I had to reset the CMOS otherwise I got nothing at all from the monitor. Cant be bothered to try anything other than 64MB now.

Hi.
When I set my BIOS to use fastboot or ultra fast boot, I get an 89 LED error. My HDD LED will keep flashing too, nothing comes on screen.

I get the same after just updating to F15q. Works fine without.

I upgraded because I'm running Windows 8 and getting slightly unpredictable blue screen crashes. Checking the minidump always seems to point to TCP/IP and memory_corruption yet I've run memtest and tried both onboard nics. Hopefully this bios resolves this as I don't really want to go back to Win7 :)

Why are you benching your SSD every time you turn it on? Are you looking to destroy all of your kit for the sake of it? A few times here and there to test your PC is not a bad thing but you have to remmeber its NAND, this stuff has X amounts of write cycles and putting them through a high level test can stress the cells quite drastically. Its not the wisest thing to do unless you like making RMAs :p

AM who the hell benches SSD's??? ;)

Can someone explain Lucid Virtu to me please. I have not got it enabled on my board well I don't think so anyroad ;)

I am using SLi'd 480's and was just wondering if its worth installing Lucid. I don't really understand what it does to be fair.

it works alongside your gpu's to boost game performance,it only works in certain games and its a little flakey but worth trying i guess

Doesn't work with xfire or sli.

Which PCI slot should be used for the latest PCI-E 3.0 cards? I've been using the PCIEX4 slot (the one closest to the bottom of the mobo) as this one is the slot that only works when an ivybridge processor is installed (and thought PCI-E 3 needed ivybridge?), and assumed this was the only slot for PCI-E 3.0. Is this right can/should any of the other slots be used for PCI-E 3.0?

Did look into this when I first got the mobo (over a year ago) but now quesitoning if this is right?
