**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

I've had the USB power error on F14. It's not uncommon, still not seen anywhere where the problem has been diagnosed properly, but it doesn't happen often enough for it to worry me.

So its pretty common from what your saying, i wonder why Gigabyte havn't cured the problem, i wonder if they even know.

I just disabled one part of the USB3 device in device manager, error went away, and all ports still work.

edit: This was with Windows 7. I now use Windows 8 without any USB errors. Works perfectly.

I really can't remember exactly what I did. But with Windows 7, I was using at least 4 ports at back, none up front. On boot it would complain that a device was using too much power with a USB port. I started disabling stuff in the device manager, including the USB3 Hub, and eventually the error went away. I had only 1 thing disabled once it was working great. Either USB Root Hub or USB 3.0 Hub.

It a pain in the butt whoever make the driver by the manufacturers should sort this out! I don't understand why Windows 8 USB 3.0 no problem but always a problem with Windows 7. Both are 64 bit driver. I was surprise as Windows 8 64 bit driver is already there after fresh installed. No need to download any drivers or CD drivers from gigabyte.
