here's my MSI OC at stock as a comparison
SNIP
Max temp under load was 77 C, boosts up to 1176.
Just so you know, the two cant really be compared.
Looks like you were running in a window (hence unusual resolution size)

Overclockers still seem to be packing these cards badly, I've had 2 670s delivered this week and both had brown tape stuck to both ends of the box and I had to be very careful not to rip the box or lose serial number stickers.
Anyone else having issues? The 2nd card came today so doesn't appear that anyone has listened to the earlier thread feedback.

Add me to that list too, luckily enough some guys on here got their card before me and commented on the parcel tape over the serial, managed to slowly peel off the tape.
The msi OC card seems to have a nice out of the box boost
OCUK really need to sort this. I would actually not buy product from a shop with careless packaging. Gibbo (I think) mentioned this had been passed onto the warehouse manager, so disappointing it seemingly hasn't been rectified.
pgi and the rest of GB WF owners
did you have problems mounting the card to case? ie the 2 screw holes not reaching the holes in the case
I had to push the card to make the holes align properly. Now Im getting slightly paranoid that it might cause problems. my case is HAF X
This was actually by far the easiest card I've ever screwed into a case as it doesn't use the traditional hooks, it uses some oversized holes, I'm sure I read a while back there was a defective batch of HAF X cases that made it hard for the PCI brackets to screw in...
Edit: my birthday in 40 mins
oh god this will be a nightmare if my haf x is really one of the defective batches
do you reckon that it will cause problems to the card later on?
happy birthday btw!

Yeah and I asked before I ordered as well if it had been sorted and I was told on the original thread yes it had and they'd be packed in the best way possible, yeah right!!
I get this with any gpu in my old eclipse 62 case, i have to push the back panel of the case, (slide out mobo tray) to get the holes to line up.pgi and the rest of GB WF owners

Oh while I remember, here are some pics of the Windforce being taken apart and waterblock fitted
Looking out of place in an 800D:
The easiest HSF to be removed ever, held on with 4 screws:
Direct contact heatpipes, GB seem to like their TIM:
PCB and chip before cleaning, the small heatsink to the right gets removed too:
Cleaned up and thermal pads added, this part was a nightmare:
The finished article:
Not to sound a little pedantic but why did you go for the Windforce if you were gonna WB it? Is it much easier to remove HSFs on non-reference cards?
