***Official GTX 670 thread***

Tbf, bf3 is the latest and greatest thing, hence why theres so many comments on it. Ill give bfbc2 a blast, unfortunately at present it's the only other game i have installed.

Its true that it is extremely popular game, but I am not sure about the 'greatest' part lol. I am more interested in how this card performs on lesser demanding games, as not many games are so demanding as BF3 and that goes for other major titles, and MMO's.

Whilst MMO's can play on lesser spec cards, it is also true that high end cards will perform better in densely populated battles as such - this is what brings me to games - more players!

It just needs a serious test, or fixing asap if it is even possible to fix 100% rather than patch.

Do find that having it blowing out helps cool the gpu more than having it blowing in?

On my previous two 7950's, there was a 5c difference. So I think that it would be best to leave it that way. The heat coming out on load it very hot and I would hate to have that circling around in my case.

Heaven 1080 @ ocuk standard, 2200 mark broken with a 670 :o

pretty impressive being able to play mafia 2 max settings (including physx high) at 60fps in 3D vision surround, dunno if that half framerate sidescreen thing is kicking in but if it is then its unnoticeable. actually runs better in 3D with no aa than it does in 2D with 4xaa forced with 0x000d02c4 compatibility mode

vram isn't an issue, 1150mb in 3D surround, 1350mb 2D with 4xaa, closest i've got to the 2Gb limit so far is pcars with surround, 4xaa, 16xaf, 135fov, smaa at ultra rest high gives around 1750mb usage and around 90-100fps in time trial :p

Mafia 2 i finished yesturday for the first time in fact. It just ran great on my SLI 670 no problem. Im now going through trine 2 which has to be the best looking game ever made, and its a platformer:D

Is it worth me making my own auto fan settings?

71°C seems quite a lot considering I'm only at 105MHz on the core? If I try higher than 105MHz on the core I crash in Heaven 3.0 Benchmark.

if you tick the tickbox for multi monitor it runs like a dog, leave it unticked and its fine bar the initial first second stutter?

really great cards these windforce and the surround experience has definitely been improved driver wise

I despise anyone who would buy computer hardware based on it's colour above performance. It's not as if girls are going to see it and want to sleep with them because of how sexy their blue leds look.

1293 boost clock is not bad, though on the low side for a windforce, it looks like you've got the fan on auto, are you running a custom fan profile? 71C seems a little warm for a windforce, try increasing the fan % and try again
