***Official GTX 670 thread***

What are you on about ?

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GeForce_GTX_670_Windforce/31.html

Sounds normal !, It's all down to the boost clock carp, that determines the real MHZ.
If you are boosting to 1200 you have done well, 1250 you have a good one over that you got very very lucky

Selected MSI GTX680 Lightnings just get in to 1300's

(I am a total loss to explain people claiming 1350 mhz + )

I am using precision and have set my power to 110% and my core is set up +151

Now when using the precision monitor my core boosts to 1310 easily - I tried + 180 and that worked but i had to change my fan profile to keep temps below 70 and the custom fan was too noisy.

I have +151 on the core. +250 om memory and use autofan and temps stay below 64 and no crashes yet.

And yes BF3 will run at a frame locked 60 fps on maximum on my windforce. With vsync off it jumps from 75 fps to over 100 so i lock it to my TV's 60htz refresh rate.

Windforce here, fantastic card. able to benchmark Heaven @ 1360mhz (+145) core & 7696mhz (+840) mem, faster than all the overclocked 680's on the Heaven 3.0 thread

My 24/7 OC boosts to 1325mhz core / 7500mhz mem and although pretty much silent against my other case fans never goes above 62c, amazing bit of kit

Is there any difference in performance forcing FXAA, Ambient Occlusion, AF etc through the Nvidia Control Panel as opposed to turning them on via a game options menu?

I force them on through the nvidia panel and I'm still pushing solid 60s (vsync on) in battlefield 3, ultra settings 2x antialiasing too, 16x anisotropic filtering

no difference in image quality if thats what your asking, just sometimes even when you turn on in game sometimes it doesnt turn on so you can 'force' it in the control panel.

I believe there is a setting in the control panel to enhance in game setting, not sure what that does?

Guys, can someone just tell me what I should apply in the Nvidia Control Panel for battlefield 3 Plz. Everything will be on ultra 4x 16x in game. Also @ 1920x1200.
Coming from AMD card, the Nvidia Control Panel seems a lot different with more settings :) or a screen shot of someone's Nvidia Control Panel Plz ;)

Cheers guys.

Has anyone got the standard EVGA GTX 670? I'm wanting to know if the reference cooler is noisy.

I'm planning to use the step-up program to go from my GTX 570 Superclocked to the reference GTX 670. However my 570 is very quiet so I would be reluctant to step-up if the reference design is like a turbine.

I'd rather sell the 570 and pay a little extra for superior cooling.

Hi all,

Received my MSI 670 PE Yesterday (replacing my MSI 6870 Hawk). Finally got a chance to install and play with briefly today.

I've had limited time but here is some info.

Default Core 1020 / Boost 1098 / Final Boost 1189 (as reported in GPU-Z so 'Kepler Boost' is 91Mhz)

Case Temp 30C, card idles at 28C.

Completing a Heaven Run, Fan in Auto, Temp hits 61C with Fan reaching 45%.

Overclocking has not been very successful. Max Core +55 (so a final boost of 1245), anything higher and Heaven wont complete. Tested Mem +500 and it completes fine.

Interestingly the Heaven Benchmark Score does not improve that much with the overclocks. To be fair though at the stock speeds the card is a beast. BF3 runs perfectly maxed out even on my older Phenom X4 965 system.

When I get some time I'll do some proper testing.

I have Asus DCII non TOP and I am gona RMA'd mine cause one of the fans , when slowing down after gaming , is ratelling.
Other than that is great card, well clocker too 1100MHz (1312Boost).

From what I hear the 670 reference fan is not as quiet as the ref 680's, play safe and get the 670FTW it is a reference 680 board and cooler with a 670 Chip.

What's the ASIC reading on you 670 ?

Replaced my ATI 4890 and 2x VGA 1680x1050 21" monitors with my new Gigabyte 670 Windforce and 2x 24" 1920x1080 monitors. Only phrase that comes to mind is JESUS ****** CHRIST!!!! What an uprade!

Can finally see what Battlefield 3 is all about! Need to decide whether or not to buy the game for multiplayer.

Running my EVGA 4gb SC + B/plate 670 @+165mhz clock +502 mhz Mem...hits about 65c after 3 hours of BF3...fan isnt as quiet as i hoped, maybe looking to change the cooler.
