****Official GTX580 user reviews/benchmarking/overclocking thread****

I was very impressed with the cooler on it - as 100% on my old 4870, I couldn't almost hear anything through my headphones.

At 100% on this, it's only a faint whirr through my headphones, and even at 60-70% fan, it keeps it cool while still remaning silent.

To the people saying it's no better than a 480, what are you smoking

I honestly haven't had much good to say about nvidia since I bought my 8800 GTX but the benches for this card: wow! Cayman will have to be uber impressive and priced well or I'm afraid I will be going back to the dark side.

Reading some reviews it looks like an older version of Furmark can be run without throttling, so does that mean that the limiter is also software based as well and that overclocking should work fine as only OCCT and the new Furmark cause throttling?

All I can say is WOW. I have never owned a Graphics card that can run Crysis 1900x1080 with absolutely everything on the highest setting and still get ridiculously high FPS.

It makes me want to play the whole game again!! (GTX580)

woop!!!

Surprised the item descriptions on the graphics retail section don't mention if they come with games then, I assumed none of them did. It was a nice surprise to find it in the box. Not exactly a game I would have gone out my way to buy, but its better than a kick in the teeth and at not one I already have.

After I'd ordered mine I noticed the Free PoP label on the zotac box :(

My Gigabyte only came with a hdmi to mini hdmi cable but it's nicer than just an adapter.

I see all of the 580s on here have been put up by £10 and they have added a GTX 580 OCUK Value card for £450:eek:

Supply and demand i suppose

Im glad i bought my POV yesterday that reminds me i have to install it in a bit:D
