Official iPad (2012 model) Accessories Thread

No, it doesn't make any contact with the smart cover at all. I wasn't aware the smart cover dropping off was an issue - I certainly can't see it being a problem, the magnets hold it very securely.

It can be a pain it not that secure but it does drop off sometime be careful

If it drops off because you knock it, then the snap on cover might help a bit, as although it doesn't make contact with the magnet, it'd stop you knocking them.

Given the polarity change, (the reason given as to why the Lexington's magnets are not working) What about the official Apple Smart Cover?? Surely the older smart covers wouldn't work then would they? In other words, can i just go out and buy ANY Official Apple Smart cover and expect it to work on my 'new' iPad ?

the smart cover-compatible gel skins seem a lot more expensive than the others, can i get away with buying one without the hole for the smart cover and just cut the skin myself?

I've ordered a black Incipio Smart Feather - I think it will be the perfect companion to my black smart cover.

I thought the same and mine arrived today, very nicely made/packaged, fits onto the ipad perfectly.

But .... I can't remove my smart cover with removing the back cover first, messy. It collects finger prints and ( shock horror ) the hole for the camera isn’t centred !!!

/me shudders

I have a bluelounge golf shell and it fits the new iPad beautifully despite being labelled for iPad 2. Very nice back she'll, but a smart cover is essential as it doesn't protect the screen at all, but I didn't expect it to. Fits my needs perfectly.

i oredered the ipad 2 version of that case before the ipad 3 version came out, still hasnt arrived though ¬____¬ already contacted the seller once and they say they've sent out a second one FoC but im not too sure...

Colcasac! Seems like an easy fit for the iPad, but if you just jam it in the thing looks all twisted and wrong. You have to line it up so it goes in below the seams inside (and it's a very soft interior!). Feels like it should keep my iPad nice and safe in my work bag.

Very disappointed with the Lexington... So much so I have it to the mrs to use on my old iPad 2 but it doesn't even wake/sleep that properly!! :(

Picked up a nice Gear4 case from HMV as I was desperate..39.99 but build quality is superb and it works nicely...very happy :)

Hey, just a question, I've ordered the Zagora myself, did you track your order? I've noticed that mine has been sat on 'Processed through USPS Sort Facility' since March 21st. Did you experience a similar state and it just appeared on your door?

Also how long was the time of delivery?

Thanks

Mine was exactly the same. I was sat wondering where it was and the postman delivered it with all the regular post. I ordered on... the 15th I think, and I received it on the 27th.

2nd attempt at putting screen protector on =( a couple of small dust bubbles at the top and left side -- I could deal with this. But around the home button there is just to many, even with the screen on it looks stupid.

Waste of £15 and like 30 minutes =/

EDIT: MediaDevil sending me out another 2 for free =D Great CS

use sellotape to fix,

one piece to lift your screen protector at the corner closest to the bubble, another piece to lift the piece of dust that is causing the bubble

Simples :)

I can confirm that these iPad 2 cases are simply too tight a fit for an iPad 3. The device fits well enough, but there is always one corner that requires a stupendous amount of force. Guess I'll remain patient for the fixed batches of Lexingtons in a week and a half's time.

Yes and that seller also sells a iPad 3 version, but don't buy it, cos it doesn't fit either... it doesn't even fit my iPad 2. Also, the magnet is in the wrong place, Apple shifted the location of the unlock/lock mechanism on the iPad 3, and their "iPad 3" case which boasts the lock/unlock has the magnet in the old location.
