***** Official OcUK Twitch List - Important Information in the Opening Post *****

Hi Guys,

Starting a Twitch channel up so you can see me starting from the bare bones. Please give me a follow :D Rusko187

Be streaming all sorts of games, old/new/retro... anything that takes my fancy.

Cheers,

Hi All,

I started a twitch stream not too long ago, mainly for playing the division but wanted to open it up to other games as well.

https://www.twitch.tv/gam8le/profile

In terms of what I plan on showing, it will continue to be The Division and GTAV, but may do single player games and other MP when I play them.

Very low production currently, no streaming card/setup and no webcam but got mic so that's a plus lol!!

I will only be streaming in evenings and weekends and its only for fun and to save some gameplay.

Thanks

I think Valkia is the most successful on this forum for sure :)

@chroluk no mate - due to the nature of twitch it's not always family friendly.

I'm almost at 500 followers now, and I'm really comfortable with my set up.

Its not the most advance set up but it works for me.

Schedule wise - I've got it pretty much set as follows

Sunday 11/12 - 7:30
Monday- Wedensday 17:30-21:30/22:00
Thursday Night off
Friday 17:30- meh
Saturday - When I wake and log on till when I decide to end it - Nomrally 10-12 Hour's

I have a linked Youtube channel aswell now and I've started to schedule Youtube videos aswell.

Current Youtube schedule is Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

I also have 5 GameWisp subscribers aswell which was mind blowing that was decided by my viewers that I should add that.

I also got invited to help out the Operation Supply Drop Live stream aswell. Thats a charity stream which does really great work for current and ex armed forces personal - Mainly american however they are reaching out to the UK/ Europe as well.

Congrats and well done for everyone getting involved in Twitch - It's a awesome community and if you ever get chance to attend one of the UK conventions do so - it's a great place to collab and speak with fellow streamers and get info.

Also a Huge well done to Valk for making the jump to a FT Streamer. Huge leap and I'm sure he'll do awesome, he's really helped push me and been a massive support aswell.

'Free' Twitch sub

I saw Valkia on the actual twitch channel as a highlight. Just read he was at twitchcon too.
Reason Im bumping the thread is they changed Amazon prime to also include a sub to 1 twitch channel without any extra cost. Maybe OCUK people want to sub Valkia to show support if they feel so inclined and have prime anyway

I had the old spelling for this one, its changed to : https://www.twitch.tv/overclockersuk
I dont think there is anyone else with a sub button and is an OCUK person

Also relevant stuff if you play smite or heathstone
https://twitch.amazon.com/prime

No there's only Valk who has been partnered currently

World of Tanks Streamer need about 750 constant viewers for 5-6 months before they can apply for Partnership. So I've some way to go.

Broke the 500 barrier now, and growth since then has been better then I thought. I have high 20's to low 30's on viewer numbers, People seem to really like the stream and I'm having lots of fun :)

Tried some other games and got some decent numbers there aswell so I may chuck them on sometimes aswell.

Youtube is growing slowly aswell, almost at 150 sub's there :)

Hope everyone's stream's are doing well :)

TimTheTatMan is not a fan of Valkia, Valkia was slaughtering him at Twitchcon on Overwatch, was quite amusing.

I'm looking to start streaming again, Pretty much still a newbie, just shy of 200 followers and used to get around 10 concurrent viewers, Did a test stream the other day and one of my hardcore followers still jumped on to watch even though it was the first time I streamed in almost a year, which was a nice feeling.

Planning on trying to stream most of the week day for a few hours since I work 8-5 Mon-Fri, So I'll most likely be streaming between 7pm-10pm.

If you're interested you'll find me at https://www.twitch.tv/uncle_gravy

Hopefully i'll be on tonight playing some Rocket League, Happy to play with viewers also.

I'm on twitch as psymonkee and will be streaming for Extra Life at the end of the month (sig has details)

I don't stream very often as I can't commit to a regular schedule so will probably post in advance of any streaming I do. Not intentionally NSFW but obviously it varies by game :)

What a mental night last night was!!

Got hosted by a player from one of the top clans who I know - Over 100+ viewers for a good hour or so :)

Got my 500 viewer stream this weekend, 24 hours of Tank - Oh the Joy!!!

Always seem to get about 20-30 viewers now, so I am really makeing good head way and getting some were :)

Didn't stream yesterday, came home to find my room gutted and my PCs and peripherals scattered in different rooms -_- apparently my room is getting re decorated without my knowledge.

Out of interest who here runs or attempted a two PC set up? I have my main gaming PC and a Xeon X5660 system.

I was in a high street store cause a mate told me they normally have cases on display (I was looking for a Corsair 240r, in length its a lot longer than I'd imagine it to be) and saw they had a Elgato HD60 Pro on discount and thought yolo.

So far only used it twice but during the two occasions, running 720p 30fps 2300 bitrate and medium preset on OBS, a few viewers claimed the quality was up there with the best of streamers, which was reassuring.

Anyone else?

I've not but I know a few who do

It is something I've thought about but currently I can do everything off 1 box, so tis more effecient for me.

Maybe in a couple of years time if I need to then I'll run a stream system aswelll as a Gaming system, but for now its fine

I will say, its a PITA, unless I leave the "streaming" PC on I won't have display from my gaming Pc, which means I have to climb all over the desk to throw the hdmi cable back into my main PC, along with my audio interface for my Rode mic.

in some aspects its worth it but then again you can argue its not worth it.

if your not partnered and making no money, is it worth the hassle to please a small handle of viewers who probably wouldn't notice or care.

On the flip side, You can get away with running lower bitrate and running a slower preset on a 2 PC set up, so those still on rubbish internet would stand a better chance against buffering issues.

If I can offer some advice folks to those of us who use OBS + Nvida Cards

1 - Don't update the Nvida Drivers yet
2 - Definatly don't update the Windows 10 patch!!!

I have and I am now in tears :(

FPS on stream before all of the above was a solid 60fps at 720p, with no issues.

Now
FPS tanks from 60 down to 40 odd at times in stream but not in game.
I can't keep a browser window open on my 2nd or 3rd screen
I've had nothing but tecture issues from OBS and apparent GPU crashes, but not in game.

Its totally messed me up hugely.

And with 2 days to sort out before my 24 hour stream
