Had an interesting time running BF1 at 4k last night.. DX11 is stilll terrible for 4K crossfire but what was interesting was the 1800x at 4ghz in dx12.. running 1 fury x it (medium high settings) was above 70fps and smooth as a waxed mans head.....

i had similar performance before but what is interesting is the fury x is running about 10-15c cooler..

1700 & Crosshair VI arrived today, just waiting for 1080Ti release then I can put the whole lot together with a custom watercooling loop.

Good news is that it POSTs out of the box with the RAM I picked (G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GTZ) but it downclocks itself to 2133Mhz. Will need to update the BIOS, etc in the coming days and see if I can get the speed up.

The SPD setting for that RAM is 2133MHz @ 1.20v, if you want the 3200MHz @ 1.35v you have to enable XMP (or the setting that converts XMP into AMP) in the BIOS.

Where from?

OCUK does not sell it, however, I am not able to say due to forum rules but I googled 'Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4' and it was about 3rd search result.

You can buy the cooler and AM4 bracket as seperate items from OCUK,or alternatively I've gone all out and bought the NH-D15S and AM4 Bracket

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £148.38
(includes shipping: £10.50)
