Got a free "copy" of this with my R9 290 a couple of years ago and never played it. The release of No Man's Sky jogged my memory about this game, so I've downloaded it this evening and am about to have a go for the first time!

Yes, in Alpha 2.6.

Alpha 2.5 is in PTU testing so it should only be a few weeks until 2.6.

Edit, i thought you were talking about Star Marie, its actually SQ42 your talking about, that's due late in the year.

Yeah I got into Universe and started on the station. Requested a ship, went to airlock, saw I needed a suit, went to find a suit, couldn't find one, went into airlock and hit the button. Died :p Then I found a suit and went outside. Got into my ship and had no idea how to take off! Took me a good 15 mins to work that out and then set myself an objective. Then I realised I was going slow so googled around and found out how to speed up my ship. Tried to quantum drive to my objective but the middle click wasn't registering with the game. It was 1am by this point so I'll have to try again this evening. Probably going to bind the missile lock key to a different button and then maybe I can quantum drive to my objective.

To activate QD is now F, it used to be the middle mouse button but they changed it.

Missile lock is still Middle Mouse, hold Middle Mouse to fire it. (some missiles don't need a lock)

Auto Land is N to select landing mode, right Alt + N to select Auto mode... fly up to the highlighted pad (another ring round the icon, can be changed with Y or U) once over the highlighted pad press F.

That will change once 2.5 is live, then landing is just N go to pad and hold N till landed.
