******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Im sure we will, ive noticed they have cracked down a lot on their timings as of late. Getting what we are promised within a couple of days range of what they estimate. Can't complain.


@pete910 You really really need to sort out a copy of windows 10 your issues so we can have a session :D

I personally don't think squadron 42 will be released for another 2-3 years. I'll be very happy if we see/hear anything about it and i'm almost willing to bet that they will show SQ42 at Citizencon this year or gamescon.

As i my self and other people still have a sour taste in their mouth from them saying we'd see something about SQ42 at Citizencon but we never got to see it.

I understand they don't want to show something that isn't up to Chris's or the teams vision but to not say anything about it until the event was unfortunate.

My prediction for this year is we will see 3.0 Aug/Sep and 3.1/SQ42 at Citizencon to close the year.

Squadron 42 is likely further along than the PU stuff we're seeing at the moment, however it's likely only missions 1-10 we'd get initially, not the whole thing. This is how it's always been planned.

For the whole thing maybe, but just for say an episode 1 type thing was hoping this year. We will see I suppose :(

Wasn't it confirmed that sq42 will be released in episodes, with the first coming before Star Citizen?
 
^ correct it's always been planned to launch in episodes. You can date this right back to the beginning of SC.

First ep should be this year with 10 missions. That may sound like a tiny amount but please remember 10 missons in a game may equate to 300 in another.
 
Given the size of the SQ42 script I don't think we'll be lacking in missions and content. I expect them to be large multi-part missions with (hopefully) some sort of story branching.
 
Well, its come time for me to part with star citizen, life has me too busy these days that I simply don't have the time anymore that I once did. A shame really that gifting isnt possible, too much in that damn game..

I hope one day it will become a great game, but currently no.

*laughs* no problem dude, just a shame that I put so much into it. But life moves on, and I had hoped to be properly playing by now, but real life got in my way, so I'll never enjoy my connie, or my carrack, or flying around on my dragonflies. They'll just collect dust somewhere

One day when its more complete you will find that odd hour here or there...... :)
