******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I have invested as I didn't get anything for my money straight away.
Well, since you "invested", you also understand that it may just as easily all fall to **** and you get nothing... because that's how actual investment works.... right?

As I invested, all the gifts for reaching goals during fund raising are no longer available to new investers.
As I recall, those were stretch goals and pretty much comprised additional in-game features that would be available to all, upon game release...

Probaby time to stop winding you all up as you are obviously looking at this in a different way.
As are the people with whom you "invested"... They refer to all monies given as 'pledges', with good reason. Basically it's a cop-out tactic so that if they go all **** up, they don't actually owe you a penny.

Yeah, the Eclipse is a cracking looking craft - very tempting but I'm not sure a "bomber" is a ship I would get much use/value from.

CIG have definitely taken their inspiration from the B2 Spirit for the Eclipse.

Well i ended up getting one via my melt money. I have fallen in love with the bomber style ships since siting in a tali for the first time. However all will be melted next time a Polaris is on sale as i have enough funds already in game to pick one up :).

Ah cool glad another regular is getting a Polaris.. means we have a games room lol I shall be your cabin boy!

Yeah there are 3-4 ships that i want to have.

Polaris ( definitely getting next sale )
Javelin ( definitely getting if they are on sale this November )
Orion as im really really curious regarding mining, however i might have to get a prospector earlier on to test the early iterations of mining.
and probably one of the Hull series just for moving bulk ore.

I saw your pedals by the way. They look lovely!

Going to put together a vid for them just showing them working. Insanely comfortable though, so glad I ditched sliding ones!

Probably won't bother with the virtual toe brakes and axis stuff only really wanted something to bind roll too.. Can't believe it only took 4 days for delivery though was expecting it to be weeks

Which pedals did you get mate? VKB?

I had a set of MFG crosswind pedals as I used to play FSX and then Prepar3D a lot, but sold all my flight sim gear after our little one was born; just didn't have the spare time to do proper flights anymore.

This when I got back into SC, Elite Dangerous and DCS , they're more 'pick up and play' friendly than an in depth flight sim. But I nown miss the pedals for that extra foot controlled axis.

I have Monday off work and the little one is going to the inlaws, I'll finally have some time to mount my new Acer Z650 projector to the man cave ceiling and swap the ceiling lamp to a flush downlight, SC should look pretty epic on a 110 inch "screen"

Yeah vkb, liked the idea of the mechanism, nice and simple and easy to take apart later. Crosswinds were on the radar too though.

Sounds like you'll be purchasing a lot more for ED and SC in the future now you've got the bug!

you've got the bug!

Hehe the bug gets everyone eventually.

My flight stuff atm only consist of a warthog, MFG crosswinds are the ones on the books for me, but more importantly sadly i need more space first as im already struggling. Can't really even fit the hotas on the desk.

Oh I'd say that's a certainty mate.

I had thousands of quids worth of flight sim hardware including an Obutto Revolution that I sold last year, and I now seem to be ploughing most of into SC and hardware to play it with.

I'm keeping an eye on the VKB, Virpil and other boutique joysticks. Also hoping one of them bring a good throttle unit to market soon.

I'll also be using tablets for Roccat power grid, or if CIG bring out their own in house tablet interface.

Physical button boxes also look great too, they bring a tactile element to interacting with physical buttons to control ship functions that taping a mouse or keyboard just don't.
