******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I foolishly melted my Armada pack during the 600i sale, for the Origin complete pack.

Today is a good day, buy back token reissue and 3.0 to evocati.

Sucks to be Derek Smart I guess, as the funding tracker is going to smash through the roof.

The funding tracker will only increase if they release 3.0 and its not a mess. Remember 3.0 was slated for dec... 2016... so its not given people faith xP

That being said its nice to see 3.0 now in the hands of hardcore testers.

DS already suggesting that Star Citizen is using 21GB of system RAM and 11GB of VRAM in Evocati release. And that to spawn in you need to be near no one else :/ em yeah welcome to the first patch of 3.0? And that comparing it to 2.6.3 which had 18 months of updates is not a surprise.

And we can hardly say that anything he has done runs or works? I am not sure anything here should be taken here but is funny to think someone is feeding him information. Surely this the whole point of NDA and it going to Evocati as they are QA to resolve these sorts of things and thus expected?

So looking at November for PTU and December for PU based on current timing frames.

He's talking crap....

That's hilarious if true. It would give more fuel to the rumours that they will never manage to do what they promised in cryengine, its just not meant for a game like star citizen. Btw, there was no chance that the NDA would hold in such a high profile crowdfunded game.

Obviously i can't tell you anything myself, but i think what i can tell you is i have 16GB of System Ram and an 8GB card, I'm not worried about running out of any memory.

There are several Evocati members on here, I can promise DS won't be one.

I was getting excited thinking that I might be using more of my 32Gb ram than I have ever done before whilst gaming! I hardly think this is the case though, even if this is true the whole reason why they have the Evocati is to fix these kind of issues.

I've never believed a word that came from DS, I don't intend on starting now...

Aye and he just seems to be reading the same patch notes I linked and taking snippets without context from it like the comment on space/moon/station requirement which misses that they talking about using QT to do it from far away and if you are closer you would be able to just pick between QT of moon or station accordingly.

I probably won't get a chance to try it until tomorrow but it'll likely be a barely functional mess to begin with. Usually is.

I'm not expecting this to be out of Evocati anytime soon, it took a year to get in there after all. I just hope Evocati don't end up being the scapegoats if this drags on lol

Well, got my refund. I'm not a big doom and gloomer but I do feel like an actual Star Citizen release date is getting further away rather than nearer every year, and perhaps a bit of wallet power will help temper their worst scope creep tendencies.

I'm happy to sit back and watch updates on this thread and buy the game when it comes out.

Yeah you are all to blame now, not Chris. Keep this in mind when reporting bugs ;)

Jokes ofc

How did you go about getting a refund and how long did it take. I'm thinking about it myself.

There's an option in the support section of the site. Just stated I don't believe I'm going to get what I initially pledged for in a realistic timeline so I'd like a refund.

A bit of back and forth trying to persuade you stuff is coming, confirming details etc. Took 2-3 weeks from opening request to getting money back in my PayPal account.
