I have a Ryzen 5800X, that's pretty solid, and 32GB of RAM, that helps too, it is better than 16GB, i used to run 16GB and noticed a marked difference when running it with the 32GB kit.

I think you would see a difference if you dropped a Ryzen 5700X in that motherboard, currently £210, and a cheap 32GB kit, Team Group Vulkan Z 3200MT/s is the one i'm running, currently £80.

Your Ryzen 3800X would be better than the Ryzen 3600 here, but i think the 5700X would be much closer to the 12700KF than it is the the 3600.

Also, make sure the game is installed on the fastest drive you have.

In all fairness i very rarely drop below 30fps, before in 3.17 depending on server i even got above 60fps at times and average in the the 40s with occasional drops into the 30s...just seemed a little worse in 3.18 but then again everyone in the server were having problems.

Going to have another game now for a little while to see if any better and going to try another server :)

EDIT....just had a quick game again and ran MUCH better, chose best server instead of Europe and average fps is in 40s, game running smooth and no bugs this time, was great fun, will be putting a few hrs in later :)

Well I've been unable to play. Every time I try I get an Entitlement error / auth failure. Have done all the normal troubleshooting apart from a full reinstall. It's timing out during the login process if it's left long enough. Have a feeling I'll need to do a character reset.

Others have had the same problem and retrying eventually got them in.

I didn't do anything other than keep trying. It worked on like the fifth attempt.
 
Ive had one decent little session since the update, all other tries have been riddled with bugs galore lol i need to drink but in my session just now i couldnt take my helmet off, the elevators dont work sometimes, the trains are bugged even more, sometimes cant get out of bed and have to restart
or cant get out of chair in ship, cant reclaim ship, buying screens bugged etc etc, the list goes on.

Yeah i know it had problems anyway but i didnt encounter half the bugs before the update, hope it irons itself out quite quick because its infuriating at times lol
 
I decided to get a refund. I believe the game will be truly special once it's properly released, but I'd rather just buy it then I think. However, I'm glad I tried it and I think I could really enjoy it, but I just don't want to put a lot of time into something that isn't finished.

You may be waiting a very long time for it to be fully released, thats if it ever is lol

EDIT.... well now i cant play at all again, keep getting that error code on phase of entitlement again, this is really doing my swede in haha

Don't blame you. Game never seems to want to come out. All I bloody want is Squadron 69 or whatever it's called ffs.
 
It will get there...... it was near perfect in the PTU, it went live and burned, you don't know how its going to go until it gets properly hammered.

They are working, on a Sunday, to resolve it, i can see them online...

Persistent Entity Streaming is one of the last foundation technologies. The only one left after this is Static Server Meshing, that's it, that's all it needs now to get it to a release state.
We have gone through a few of these foundation technologies, they have all been a nightmare when first released but they were all fixed and got working properly, this will too.

It never actually dawned on me there were no loading screens when I was playing.
I saw a video with a massive yacht thing, would be cool if they allows you to customise Interiors with items and colour choices etc.
