******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I used it for at least a week for hours at a time in EPTU, flawless...

As i say the only variable on my system is Windows.

Only thing that's changed on mine really is the AMD driver/adrenaline which I completely stripped off with DDU and reinstalled from the web.Turns out the problem I was having was caused by fluid motion frames anyway which I don't need enabled (adrenaline was crashing constantly with it enabled in games).

reading some of the comments is fun....

Any FPS above 25 means the bunker AI are all John Wicks.

If it reaches 60 the AI will become sentient and destroy us all.

From all the AI i've encountered in gaming the only ones that scare the **** out of me is 1. The alien from Alien isolation and 2. Pirates on high FPS servers.

Server FPS can go over 30fps? Would be nice if it could go over 5 consistently. Played for a bit this evening and it felt pretty bad, ranging from 4-7 fps. Multiple second delays on interacting with screens, elevators, ship interactables etc and lots of rubber banding and desyncing of ships and people.
Not convinced by Master Modes right now, but too early to say. I need to reset some bindings to cover some of the new modes better, I'll potentially wipe everything bar the analog axes and start again.

Wait for Citizencon in October.

Lets hope its more than just a date we get in October, waiting a year to wait another year will not be a nice feeling.

So the Polaris, its pretty big....

Its nice to see more of these bigger ships starting to appear, it will be interesting to see if all the work they are going on RSI ships (Zeus/Apollo/Polaris) will result in the Galaxy coming together a lot quicker.

It will.. They are building modular systems for All rsi ships

The Polaris is the blue print for the new RSI design language, now that its nearing done all remaining RSI ship's will follow on from it.

I am just about to get back into this after barely touching it over the years, what's a good smooth stick to use, don't want the cheapest but something that makes flying feel really good?

Also is there a guild or whatever they are called in this? If so is it active?

I imagine i will be in for a big surprise since i last played.

Game has built in control mappings for the thrustmaster T16000 sticks as well as VKB and Virpil I think, the thrustmaster sticks are like £120 for a pair, while the VKB and Virpil are several hundred quid a piece minimum.
I think i have a T16000 in the loft, will look at the VKB and Virpil stuff but maybe thats the next step if i get into it. Thanks for info.

Hey bro long time! What u been up to?

Is it just me or is the lighting really harsh on the eyes? Maybe it's better in gameplay but... still.

Its the HDR Tone Mapping, its not supposed to look like that, for some reason the screenshots are being taken post HDR processing, that's what it looks like before a HDR screen displays it in HDR.
