Evocadi should be used to stress test the servers and to help find some edge cases.

Evo is not there to check if we can open the hanger doors.. Lol

But we know the servers are and will remain crap until they have server meshing, or a polished version of it, in place. Until then they can stress the servers all they want but the results will be the same. El Crapo.

The server meshing tests are more meaningful.

I agree overal.

The miss management is affecting SC badly, not the talent

The fact that they're still wasting time on gimmicks like this after 13 years and $700m is mind-blowing.

It's not as profitable as it was, money will run out before release IMHO.

We may, maybe get Squadron 42 but I'm pretty convinced SC as it stands is a dead duck without server meshing being a glorious success, which so far it's far from.

I don't think so with how looking unless 4.0 completely dies for a year or more and they can't fix it over that period of a 4.0 to 4.4 release schedule. Looking at the numbers on the tracker it still really hasn't taken a huge hit yet.
 
personally I don't think there is much danger of SC not releasing (never say never of course) but if push came to absolute shove they could just massively reduce the scope of the planets , tidy it up to make it workable (even if it means dialing back the number of players in an instance etc) and release an MVP with the tease.of more to come (which could maybe or maybe not happen)
but I think there is enough there already that if needed could be tidied up and put out there as a game. I have to admit I am itching to get into it properly, I just won't until progress is persistent which may be a while yet :)

I'm thinking profit, not revenue. Marketing tactics year on year get more shady and desperate, that IMHO is an indicator of either worsening culture internally or pressure from execs to steady the ship. Either way it's not great. I am hopeful that money is going to good use on SQ42 though.

Tbh I don't think the marketing has been any worse for last 4yrs or so. It's just been bad for that long. But then all marketing is bloody awful in games industry.
