** Official** Starfield - Mods and Tweaks

Thanks for the list, not even played 30 seconds of the game yet and came hunting for a fix to the awful black levels.
I mean, what were they thinking? Looks like I'm playing it on a 10 year old panel. And also, no HDR!?
Which mod did you use in the end.

Second one on Dirk's list (OP), the LUT mod
Doesn't affect achievements. Works as a stand alone mod, just drop some files in your documents folder and create an ini file. You can just download the ini file too, if you're unsure on how to create it. All explained on the mod page:

Does it feel sluggish at all? my laptop is ~45 fps with everything at ultra apart from shadows @ 3840x2400. A little boost would be appreciated.
This is the one im using with my 5800x3d and 4070...was a massive boost in fps and feels smooth while playing

Yeah I've got this one running as well, amazing performance boost at 4k on the 4090, although I did have to manually enable Frame Gen in the json config file.

I'm looking at all these tools and directions and going 'Huh'?

Is there an easy way to, say, click download and the program or installer does it all for me? Particularly the StarUI one.

Installed the Natural LUTs mode lastnight. Big improvement in most places. If you using it are you using it in its stock form or have you returned some of the back to some of the stock LUTs. For example I thought the ship interiors looked a little black with the mod so I've returned that one to stock. I haven't even left the first area yet so just wondering if there are other places that people thought looked better at stock?

I haven't tried it with Startfied yet, don't even know if its compatible tbh so hopefully somebody else can comfirm but with games like Skyrim and Fallout I used to used the Nexus Mod Manager to install and remove all my mods.

A really handy mod I found is the one where it changes the credsticks and Lockpicks textures to bright yellow. Makes it much easier to just spot them sitting around when looting an area.

That does sound useful, early game I need as much credits and digipicks I can get. Do you have a link?

Starfield Manual Re-BAR ON vs OFF Benchmarks

As you guys can see, average FPS increases by about 6-8% and there are some gains in percentile FPS figures as well. The margins might not seem like much but when combined with a GPU overclock for example, you can achieve a double digit perf gain, and in an unoptimized game like this one, you want every frame that you can get...

I tried the DLSS3 mod last night and while it boosted my FPS from about 45 to 60, it also crashed 3 or 4 times. Maybe I should've uninstalled the ReShade first?

I'm gonna try the DLSS 3 mod to hopefully reduce the temperature my pc is kicking out.
Think I got an update for neutral LUT and I understand there is high Res textures out too. Not interested in any that change the gameplay itself yet.
