Evening all, I currently have 4 x AC-LR APs at home, I’m about to add an UCG-Ultra in for my Youfibre 1gb/1gb service going live this Monday, any benefit in selling the LRs and adding 2 APs from the newer range?

Anyone here run a UDM-SE with a HDD in it, and measure power consumption? Mine seems to use 40W if Tapo plugs are to be believed, which seems quite high.

I've not done anything with my NVR yet, still new in box atm. I have 3 spare WD Plus 3TB drives that I was going to initially use. However with prime day etc. any particular drives people recommend? I was originally looking at some WD Purple, but they're only 5400 and Unifi recommend 7200.

I have some spare Dell 12TB hitachi drives, but they're from a poweredge.
Purple drives are designed for video recording and being constantly written to. You might want to check out the manufacturer website as they do have very good deals from time to time.

What do you have running in there?

What's everyone's opinion of the Cloud Gateway Max? Currently on Virgin 1G although Lightspeed is currently being installed and they offer a 2G service so thinking of replacing my older Asus AC Router with one.

I've just moved to the UCG-Ultra and I'm amazed at how much information its giving me, way much more than the UC-CK did, even down to the host names not MAC addresses!

Was having a mild panic about migrating but it went really well, which I'm happy about! No onboard wifi but I have that covered with my 4 x LR APs around my bungalow!

And after YouFibre went live at mine yesterday its perfect timing ......

I rememeber dialup days! :(
