Looks like a big update for Protect:

UniFi Protect Application 4.1.31

Improvements

  • Added Alarm Manager, a powerful upgrade to our notification functionality allowing granular control via rules that include triggers, actions, and custom notifications.
  • Existing email / push notification settings will be migrated to Alarm Manager during the upgrade. Please review the migrated Alarms and report any behavior that is inconsistent with your prior settings.
  • Added the ability to Archive Footage to CIFS/SMB Servers (NAS).
  • Added the Shortcuts feature to the dashboard pane when a single camera is expanded.
  • Added the ability to unlock Access doors using the Shortcuts feature.
  • Added the AI detection confidence level display to the Detection Highlight and Detections pane.
  • Added an option to customize the chime ringtone. This requires firmware version 1.7.10 or newer.
  • Added an option for UP-Sense to lock the connection to a specific AP.
  • Added the ability to reorder the default dashboard grid using drag and drop.
  • Improved browsing-specific detections by splitting up into individual events.
  • Improved button placement in the video player.
  • Updated the side panel for UP-Sense.
  • Reordered the left navigation panel.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where the microphone sensitivity settings would unexpectedly re-appear after restarting a camera with a disabled mic.
  • Fixed an issue where a cloud archive account could not be removed.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in incorrect storage capacity calculations.
  • Fixed an issue with email/push notifications and system logs for archiving events.
  • Fixed an issue where in rare cases Protect restarted in Limited Mode while recovering thumbnails during startup.
  • Fixed an issue with Patrol Mode usability.
  • Fixed an issue where the group side panel would reappear after resetting the search criteria.
  • Fixed an issue with cropped video feeds on ultra-wide displays.

Known issues

  • Some actions in Alarm manager has limitations:
  • Play Sound works for chimes only
  • Turn on light works with Floodlight only (spotlight support coming in the next version)
  • Unlock Door/Gate is not showing Access door locks (will be fixed in the next version)

Additional information

This version requires you to have UniFi OS version 3.0 or newer.

Iv got an edge router lite coming and wondering if this is capable of handling 1 gig up/down on Vodafone gigafast (city fiber) link. It's a fairly old device so I'm wondering if it's less capable than the stock thg3000 Vodafone provide?

Does anyone know of a firmware for the u7pro that works. I have tried multiple and either I get no connection with it 2.4g devices, no connection from apple, drop offs with 5ghz.

Second thing has anyone got a camera with mic and speaker. I currently use this function on some ring cameras inside but need to replace these for constant recording ones.

Sounds like it might be defective unit, have you spoken to UniFi support?

With no “fun” it’ll route it. Just go easy on rules and don’t expect the DPI or smart Q to worth and keep throughput high.

Howdy team. Quick q if you wouldn’t mind, but we moved house end of Q1 and I’ve still not bothered to install my APs properly. Before I do, is it worth me upgrading?

I’ve got two AP AC lite, and an AC mesh for the garden.

I was thinking one on the upstairs landing, one downstairs hallway. Internal area is 1600ft roughly.

Or perhaps would there be a better AP which could run solo on the upstairs landing?

wont be using any dpi or smart queues etc, just doing what stock isp router does which is dhcp server, nat, firewall and port forward.
anyone got any experience in situation like this with an edgerouter lite? it seems like an underpowered device specs wise compared to vodafones stock router which is supposed to be a quad core with 2gig ram etc.
