Picked up a LG OLED55B6V

The only b6 models that richer sounds have are ex display. When I looked the other night, only Chester and I think Leicester had them in stock but as it's been said they are ex display models with a one yr warranty.

Plus you would need to go there and pick it up, they won't deliver.

Looks like I'll just hang onto the insurance payout on my old tv till the b7 drops in price. Which will be a pretty long time going by how the b6 dropped.

Guess I'll just make do with my old panny plasma at the moment. Could buy the same tv that was damaged ie the Panasonic 902b 58" but even they have been discontinued and are hard to find now.

Currys don't have them in stock anymore either, originally bought it from there with a 5 yr warranty.

Popped into a local richer sound. Apparently that model is discontinued. And they only have a few hundred left.

I did look at the new B7. And it did look impressive..... In fact they both did. So much so that I'm questioning whether the B7 is worth the extra monies. When this C6 could still be had.

Just need to wait till I have a place to move into.

Next on the list is a decent sound system.

They didn't have any C6 models or you mean they had no more B6.

I would happily go for a C6 if I could not get my hands on a B6, they are the same TV apart from the curve/3D.

Did you see a C6, what did you think of the curve?
 
My copy of Ghost in a shell UHD blu ray came today can t wait to watch it on OLED so far only watched the Martian and BVS both I thought were great. Nice step up from Netflix and Amazon.

The C6 has the newer SOC as does the G&E.

I can't remember all the details and reviews at the time I purchased the C6 I just remember reading it had a better SoC.

3D was more of the deciding factor for me.

The TV still puts a smile my face.

Been debates on this in the past on which is better/newer.

All I know is the B6 seem's to get firmware updates last from the other 6 series sets. Apparently a firmware has been uploaded to some Russian site that has the HLG update for the B6, so should not be to long before we see it officially.

Apparently they only have a few hundred C6 screens left.

As for the curve it isn't look that curved to me.
 
Not having the Youtube HDR is possibly the only disappointment I have from my 55C6V. I upgraded from a 55KS7000. I hope we get this upgrade. Also still no news on HLG HDR support for the 2016 LG OLED.

if you're a VIP member they'll give you 6 years warranty, i got that on my open-box E6V.

Cant remember where but I think I read that its hardware limitation that will prevent HDR support on youtube app, as for HLG that is coming to the B6 as there is an official firmware out on some russian LG site that is for the B6 and has HLG, its been installed by a few B6 owners already and they get the HDR HLG pop up.

So I would expect to see it show up soon.
