Picked up a LG OLED55B6V

It's your own opinion what matters on this one DAIR, if the curve doesn't bother you then go for it, try out the 3D as well. You'll be waiting a year for 2017 OLED's to be £1400.

Unless Currys have a mare with their discount codes working across your basket again, Ended up paying £1650 or so for this years model after getting a refund back on the other tv.

I'm assuming that was with cashback on top Glanza as my B7V was still over £1700 after returning the other TV.

Phillips are launching their new OLED's as well in the UK soon at a pretty decent price, supposedly just north of £2000 so should be able to snap one up for under that at some point, also has their ambilight technology built in which has some benefits over your standard hue lighting.

Got home from work last night and my 7V has a red pixel stuck at the bottom of the screen, tried the pixel refresher last night and still the same this morning, haven't had the tv 2 week yet going to take it back to Currys tomorrow and hopefully get a replacement tv with no fuss.

Mine has 2 stuck pixels right next to each other other at the bottom, one red, one green, from everything I've read on avforums every OLED either has them at the start or develops some eventually and they only take returns for stuck pixels above a certain amount, if the pixel is dead then it's different. Curry's tend to be rather good though and with it being in a short amount of time you might get a new set no quibbles. I can only notice mine if I'm within a few feet of the screen and since my panel has next to no banding or other issues I'm not chancing returning it for one that might be stuck pixel free but have noticeable banding in content.

It's a shame as apart from the pixel appearing last night the TV has been perfect with everything else. More annoyed that it's been less than 2 weeks but again hopefully as it's still within the 14 / 30 days of purchase Curry's will just replace it.

It disgust me how manufacture allow so many before they give a toss.

It's bizarre how dell will cover Dell ultrasharp models for dead or stuck pixels no matter how many (I can confirm this as I work in a returns department and return dell's screens)

I feel all manufacture should least give a grace period.

Red etc sticks out no matter how close you are to screen anyway

Yep nearly soiled myself when I seen the new offer then realised it's not quite as good as the previous one I bought in on. I can see offers of £1500 on the B7 before the year is out though.

picked up my first oled today. just from richer sounds as my previous sony failed in the warranty so had to spend there.

got the 55 C6, got home and went omg this is rubbish its like a dodgy tv series.

Soon found out that i need to turn of trumotion and everything else.

Lovely TV in comparison with my 5 year old sony

also didn't want curved and nearly took a standard 4k tv instead but actually the curve from center is around 1.5 inches to the outer edge so its not to bad. Now its on the wall its not exactly noticeable.

Best to disable ALL post processing. Only reason you may want post processing is on low quality SD sources.

not tried Trumotion on mine because i'd head so much bad press about that "soap opera effect" ~ there's a big thread on AVForums about it but the way i look at it is if it looks good w/out it then when bother messing about to get it to look good w/ it?

loving my E6, one bad point though is the "i'm going to have to re-replace my back catalogue again" factor; hoyed in one of my fave films on DVD last night, The Ghost and the Darkness. goddamn, it was like looking at a 2nd gen VHS copy, absolutely horrific quality. but when you hoy in something like the bluray of John Wick....omg....

Still loving my B6...want a 4K 40/43 inch for the bedroom but no oleds available?

Worry if I get an LG 4k led it'll look crap. The bedroom will have the curtains closed all the time I presume that would help.

Suggestions?
