What makes you think Corbyn would be better specifically in that regard? For example these are his views on ISIS supporters returning:

People shouldn't be prosecuted for their political beliefs? Well seeing as that is the basis of our democracy for hundreds of years I think that is a perfectly reasonable position.

There is a difference between political beliefs, and conspiring to and executing terrorist attacks. Dirty little rags like Guido Fawkes (when did he go full Breitbart?) will try and twist his words...but as I keep saying, British people are less easily duped by this sort of gutter propaganda. Keeping it up just continues to highlight the Tories complete lack of substance.

What? How would labour cut the police force when they weren't in government?

Andy Burnham suggested a 10% cut in response to a conservative suggestion of between 25 - 35% reduction. It wasn't an additional cut, it was trying to minimise the Conservative cuts. Its a laughable comment though.

I can see the reply already:

So they did suggest a cut then?

No, in simple terms it went like this

Conservative " We propose to cut police funding by 25-35%"
Labour front bench "If you have to cut, please consider only 10%"

I'm unsure of the overall Labour opinion on it, it was one person (Andy Burnham) who suggested it. Its only come up today because May is under hard pressure for police funding cuts of 25%, just deflecting.

The brainwashing is strong here.

I've always admitted faults with a lot of the left wing parties even though I'm a firm left winger.

Some Ukip and Tory voters act as if they are in a cult or a religion though. To them the tories can do no wrong and will lie and interpret whatever they want to benefit "their" party

Hahaha feel free to try - if it makes you feel better on thursday lol

Nothing is going to make me feel better on Thursday, regardless of how this election goes. To steal an analogy from South Park, we've got a choice between a Giant Douche, and a Turd Sandwich.

Either the Tories take us further in the wrong direction, or we roll the dice with Labour and pray we get two sixes (i.e. their plan is high-risk).

No I think a lot of UKIP and Tory voters just think that Theresa May is our only credible option in this election, and that the election of Jeremy Corbyn as PM will be such a disaster for this country its people that it's too depressing to contemplate.

Just watching Ruth Davidson introduce Theresa May at a Scottish Conservatives press conference. "They don't want a strong woman to lead this country".

Oh dear god. Are we really going there?

The PM is also doing a fantastic job of lying about police funding (assuming figures being touted elsewhere in the media are correct).

Glad to see that the PM is so confident of support in Scotland the she's visting a very remote removals warehouse next to the harbour about 5 mins down the road from me... I just don't get why she refuses to meet the public, very odd politician.

Which is largely the problem on both sides. It's basically the worst election ever. "Who do you think is a bigger danger to our country? Vote accordingly."

I've been wondering this for years. I mean
.. The tories have been In power for 8 years now.... And if they win will be 12 / 13years..

It was the same thing for pretty much most of the 12 years labour was in power blaming the previous admirations.

On a related note it annoys me when Lib/Con go in about Labour overspending, that might be true but running up to the 2008 crash they were tripping up over each other saying they would spend X more on Y thing than labour. No talk of keeping things in check, not talk of efficiency spending’s hardly. Then come the 2008 crash “labour” spent to much “labour left our economy in a mess” spinning it like they were the reason for the crash. Massive amount of hypocrisy on all sides.

That’s before we mention JC pretty much voted no to every counter terrorism bill since 2000 it seems

Make it hard to figure out who to vote for me, both Labour+JC and Conservatives+TM have massive positive and negative points to them.
