Post your mobile phone desktop!

Everything :P

Hah okay, I take it that you've installed the Android SDK, the Java SE SDK? and also the USB drivers for whatever phone you've got?

If you have installed the above correctly, all you then need to do is enable USB Debugging on your phone and then run the ddms.bat in the tools folder whilst the phone is connected.

Hopefully after a few seconds or so a window pops up with your phone in the left side.

Just incase ive done it wrong, any chance you can link to each bit of software i should use?

That would help me out a lot :) Im using a Motorola milestone :)

The Java SE

Android SDK

The USB drivers for your phone should install themself if you're using Windows 7, else they might be on one of the folders on the root of your phone or you can also try the driver in the usb_driver folder once you install the Android SDK.

Edit: In that guide you linked, you can follow the steps later on in that guide if things aren't self explanitory :) Saves me typing pretty much the same things!

Finally got around to setting up the android SDK program :D.

Used the guide below:

http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-take-screenshots-of-android-device/

Here are my screenshots, haven't done anything to mobile in the sense of rooting and flashing a custom firmware on to it:

Decided to go with the clean minimal approach this time and I am loving it :D. This must be the 100,000th time I have changed the layout and looks of everything lol.

Last design I had, looked just like the HTC sense UI and had 5 homescreens.

Also posted some screenshots of really good apps that look pretty neat I think :D.

Sorry about the big blank empty white box on the second screenshot (don't know how to use photoshop that well :p), and I thought I might as well post a screenshot of my dialer :p.

Details of my setup:
-Using launcherPro Plus
-The calendar widget is a feature for plus users
-Got the icons from Khaaan and utralinx over at XDA and customized some of them to my liking a bit more (thanks again khaaan ;))
-Got the dock background from ultralinx (his website)
-Wallpaper is from launcherPro forum
-Weather widget - http://www.appbrain.com/app/se.f1nally.snowstorm
-Battery indicator widget - http://www.appbrain.com/app/net.bajawa.battery
- Remote control for your PC - http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.Relmtech.Remote
-Alarm clock - http://www.appbrain.com/app/org.kaloersoftware.kaloerclock
-Messaging application - http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.handcent.nextsms
-Power Control widget - http://www.appbrain.com/app/alei.switchpro

I smell a copycat!

Just kidding :p

I'm on DeFrost 2.9a now, Supercircle battery version D, LED calibration via Calibration tool v4 (no more pink hues on some grey!), 1267MHz kernel, Everything else = super fast and slick :D

For the people who are using SwitchPro...

Regarding the Data Connection enable/disable (Mobile Network) does the 'Mobile Network' have to be On in order for the switch to work like 'Extended Controls'? Or does it actually turn on and off the mobile network unlike Extended Controls, so that when you hold the power button on top of the phone and you get the phone options it tells you that the mobile network is on or off unlike with extended controls where the mobile network remains constantly on.

Cheers.

Hi Rocker

Switch pro's data connection toggle works the same way as extended controls, so long press the power button and make sure the mobile network is on and then start using switch pro.

It's just a logo background I made and toolbar bitmap that was posted on Doom9 forums. My logo is now in the MPC-HC builds but the toolbar button style is:

toolbar.bmp

Keep filename the same^, place in MPC-HC's directory root

Thanks for that :)

Can the developer not chaneg thsi so that it actually toggles the mobile network on/off as like using the stock mobile toggle widget? As I'm pretty sure extended controls etc do not disable the mobile network but rather change settings which stops connectivity but does not disable it resulting in it still being on and using battery power
