Pro Cycling Discussion 2016

Wow, have just caught up, but did not expect to hear/see that, got the we've heard of a crash then cutting to Froome running. Absolutely ridiculous.

Quintana and few in the bit behind have definitely got a bit lucky as those 3 were flying up the road. Le Tour/ASO need to react after this and actually put provision in place to control the crowd better. It's getting so dangerous for riders and spectators alike now.

Fair play to Mollema, looked great, and he can TT a bit from what I remember. Porte showing he is the team leader in BMC, but my god he is the unluckiest bloke on earth.

Great to see that the organisers have not dithered and restored Froome back to the lead.

Indeed, if his running doesn't endear him to the naysayers I don't know what will, his absolute desire to just get to the end no matter what! Rather than giving up as we have seen from so many before. Shows how much it means to him and his spirit.

And don't think anyone has mentioned but De Gendt! Great ride!

Seeing Chris Froome being jeered like that when receiving the yellow jersey after todays stage was disgraceful. Its actually making my blood boil a bit, god knows how he must feel! He's done nothing wrong!

French gonna French.

They haven't had a French winner in 30 years, probably getting a bit restless.

Froome needs to do more spectator punching.

But the fans have shown time and time again on these big climbs that they can't be trusted to police themselves this has been an accident waiting to happen for a number of years now. I doubt we will see Ventoux ridden without more barriers in future.

Idiots with flares too.

Spray two lines on the road and any fan to put a arm, leg, finger or hair over it should be thrown off the mountain face first

Probably the right decision to give Froome and Porte the same time as Mollema, I don't really see why Trek are contesting it. Just because he happened to land top of the pile doesn't mean he deserved to profit from the incident. I don't quite understand why Quintana got the same time as the chase group though, they were all together at the time of the crash and even had to stop, so if anything he should have lost more time.

Im guessing trek are contesting the time Quintana gained as he got the same time as Yates despite coming in 6secs down IIRC.
