PS(PC)VR 2, anyone interested?

It does seem to be weirdly random with the bluetooth. As mentioned I'm using an old non branded cheapo dongle, on the end of an extension cord, and it hasn't missed a single beat in the few weeks I've been using the PSVR2.

Couple of updates just dropped on Steam:

I pulled the trigger on PSVR2 today, at the Black Friday sale price it seems like a good deal. I'll play on PS5 to begin with but will probably pick up the PC adapter later. I went for the Call of the Mountain bundle for £350, seems worth it for the extra £10.

Bought one plus a recommended bluetooth dongle and the PC adaptor. Will see just how good this is for wired play compared to the Pro and Q3.

Finally might encourage me to get rid of my Index.

£405 all in is a very good deal for an OLED wired headset. Really wanted this for darker games like Metro, sims, and games like Skyrim which can suffer from compression.

Look forward to the review! Won't ever get one I wouldn't think, do 99% of my vr with standalone, but still interested!

I'll give it a good go. If it's no good I'll return it or sell it on. I'm happy in general with my Pro, but I'm curious to see what games look like on an OLED headset. Metro doesn't work too well with the local dimming for example.

I get the feeling the annoyances (Mura, huge controllers, fresnel lenses) will be bigger than the advantages.

Also interested to hear your thoughts.

I won't ever buy one either. For room scale games like Skyrim etc. been tethered ruins the experience for me. I would take wireless freedom over OLED every time.

I don't find it an issue in games where I'm standing still, and use thumbstick to turn, like Skyrim, plus it's not an issue for seated games like sims, but in general wireless is the way to go.

I don't stand still even when I am using thumb sticks to turn. Especially when the action heats up.

I'm usually quite good at being fairly still, but once action starts, like in Arkham Shadow, I'd throttle myself pretty quickly I suspect!

Arkham Shadow is definitely NOT a game I want to play wired! I don't even know what direction I'm facing when playing that.

Ordered!! Got the Horizon pack just in case I get a PS5 pro at a later stage and it helps. I had a PSVR2 @ release and sent it back. I felt the PS5 was too underpowered compared to what I was used to on PC

The retailer I ordered from didn't have the Horizon pack, but I'm extremely unlikely to ever get a PS5 so no point in getting it. I'd love it if they ported Horizon to PC, but the studio that made it no longer exists. :(
